Fine if you feel that way, but I try to ask for riders opinions on the current state of the sport and also anything happening inside so people from the outside can learn more, Finns response was great and a lot people enjoyed his opinions. I interview riders who are doing well in the race, on race day my video is to tell the story of the race. I can't make a judgement on a case where no one actually knows the full story, and we never will it seems, so until then I will interview the riders who performed...

I haven't had time to watch any of these deep dive videos, so this is a hasty judgement, but I gotta say that products like this make me think we're starting to completely lose the plot of mountain biking. Who wants to spend $2000 on JUST THE FORK for their mountain bike? And that fork likely requires you to get at least a new front wheel, so tack on a few extra benjies at minimum. And in return you get a fork that weighs as much as a DH fork. Look, I've blown a stupid amount of disposable cash on...

I ran a 300lb spring on my 2015 at 190lbs bodyweight without kit. Also, the longer shaft shock has a higher shaft speed (lower leverage rate) deep in the travel which creates higher than normal damping, so don't over spring

I disagree on both counts. One of the biggest complaints last year from riders was the short amount of time between qualifying and semi-finals. The riders need time to rest, and the mechanics need time to get bikes up and running, especially when a crash or mechanical was involved. Having the Juniors run in between qualifying rounds helps with this. I also think they get it right with the final race order. It has always been the case that fast riders might be early in the order, and that's just racing. Back in the day, the fat guys sometimes played...

she entered that 'zone' every racer wishes they can enter. Myriam put down a heater in Q1, Vali put down a heater in the finals... Gracey went 3 up on those times... From 3 down at the top. I really hope this performance doesn't get brushed over for being womens category and a 'self imposed' handicap from a top split. But she really did pull over 6 seconds on Vali from split 1 on... One of the greatest womens runs of all time

I'm happy to report Asa is being well compensated, at a level equal to his talent and future. Despite choices aplenty, Asa decided to stay with a team capable of fully taking care of him, but also one whose business dealings have been genuine and transparent. Asa's a bright kid, but to assume he was not properly represented and took advise, especially as one of the most branded athletes in the sport is a bit dramatic. No money nor opportunity left on the table. Opportunity: Taz, Wales...Rampage? Who gets that? Money: Private for obvious reasons, but he's making more at...

Hi y'all, Longtime reader, though I rarely post. Some context I run a small non-bike company in Sheridan, WY. We make a ton in house, import a little, and outsource a bunch to other companies in the US. We do about 40% of our sales in Canada. These tariffs will put the brakes on the entire economy. My business is well positioned to make 100% of our product in the US, which would seemingly be a boon for us. But who is going to be able to buy it? Will our customers in Canada want to buy our products at...

To be fair, it's also possible that competitively priced and highly specialized manufacturing will pop up in the U.S. at enormous scale with armies of knowledgable, specialized non-immigrant workers in the next month to save us from these high costs. That's all we need. Well, that and in-country raw material extraction for materials that often don't exist in our borders in the quantities we need, like bauxite, rubber, lithium, cobalt, rare earth elements, etc. But if we can figure out those two aspects in the next month we'll be fine.

You can actually do the inverse with brilliant results on most?? UDH bikes. T-type cassette, chain and ring with standard Eagle derailleur. Just takes 15 minutes grinding down an all-aluminum UDH hanger to clear the chain. I'm doing this on my last-gen Norco optic with a GX Eage derailleur (Hall-lock mod as well). Friggin brilliant setup! Though now with mechanical T-type there will be something just as good from the factory.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. I didn't get along with the shifter pod ergonomics of my electronic XO transmission so I replaced the shifter and derailleur with standard cable operated XO and it works fine. XO transmission cranks, chain and cassette with mechanical XO shifter and derailleur.

Looks like Anna Newkirk, or another medium height woman with brown hair. That would check out. Although it could have theoretically been Callie Horwath, Neko's gf. Anna would make more sense from a marketing and team hype perspective though.

As a current St Evo owner as well as a Madonna V3 owner, the Madonna pedals 2-3x better than the Stumpy and tracks the ground like Velcro. I have a hard time wanting to ride the Stumpy that weights almost 11 pounds lighter than the Madonna because it doesn’t pedal or track as well as the Madonna. Some of the new suspension gizmos are pretty rad but it seems that they are trying to make up for poor kinematic design that comes from trying to maintain a certain design aesthetic and not from trying to push the design envelope. Trek...

The downside for me personally has to do with spending that much time away from my family. My comment wasn’t meant to suggest anything negative about Taiwan itself. I place a high value on getting to be at home with my family every night. I have spent the majority of my career in manufacturing and it’s a lesson I learned early on from fellow welders and other manufacturing/construction trades that spent time “getting the bag” on jobs that included a lot of time away. The vast majority of them regretted it and took large pay reductions (30-50%) to get away...

I think there has been a very good discussion of the pros and cons of each in the previous posts. Explaining the traction and compliance comment might be difficult, but here goes. The larger chassis forks have less flex, which means they also have less bushing bind when you are pushing hard in any direction other than straight up through...

I dunno, maybe it's not a bad idea to stay off of forums where people discuss racing until you've watched the race. It's a strategy that's always worked for me.😉
