I have this horrible feeling we're not the biggest demographic....

I would put Warner above Tippie in the reach department because of the Redbull connection, but for the most part it's all marketing to an audience that we already have..

I am a Tippie fan, but can someone explain to me why he should get a ride over some up and comer? A very few amount of riders from his generation are still sponsored full time, even a much younger Gully works full time for Orbea not as a rider.

Love the guy, but in times apparently so tight in the industry, why him and not someone current like the people who we talk about in this thread losing rides?

believe or not the vast majority of mountain bikers simply do not follow racing, it's not even on their radar

Could just be filling a a necessary social media quota for the year, but sure makes it sound like the team is continuing on as they were and not moving over to Nukeproof.

Let's see, where this whole nukeproof raceteam rumour ends up.

At the end, it vanishes as quickly as it popped up.

I think they are going to do it smart, not jump head first into world cups. If I remember correctly from this thread, the NP guy said they would focus on crankworx, street races and hardline.

Off topic but that "new Dhf" -prototype has been on test for four years now.

How about the Gamux team to NP? Could make sense especially after how many belts came off.
Chains for the win!

They don’t have many big riders for points and then they focus on other events?

Games as in Gates? Which team is the "Gates" team if yes?

FWIW you can replace any belt with a chain on any existing bike. The reverse is what doesn't really work.

Maybe it was an auto corrected gamux? Games is pretty similar

Feel like more people follow racing than know who Tippie is these days, we are a dying breed

Laurie Greenland is selling a lot of his Santa Cruz bikes, so that may confirm that he is off Syndicate.

Also, Steve Peat is doing the same, and I doubt he is out from Santa Cruz so maybe its just a sale from both of them.

Is very standard that many pros sell their bikes at end of year. Look at the BK Frame pages back f/ example.

I can imagine for a lot of sponsors it's important to be on exactly the correct model year colours, build kits etc. Especially a high profile team like syndicate.

One interesting thing I noticed with PFR is they're often not all on latest model/top spec bikes. Training bikes with older groups yes, e bikes being previous models

PFR is also supported by Shimano. The new shuttles all have the Bosch system while the older ones had Shimano EP8. So it might be a contractual issue that they needed to promote the Shimano motors for a bit longer. However, I've seen them riding the new Shuttles with the Bosch as of recent, so who knows.

Racing and an ambassador like Tippie both come out of the marketing budgets for most companies.  Which one is going to potentially sell more bikes? The guy racing or the guy  at races and other events stoking other riders as well as hyping up your brand? I  might be biased since I know Brett, but he brings a lot to the table and  maybe for less than a WC racer.. That article really sums up Brett quite nicely.

There are so many fast racers you could sponsor. There is only ONE Tippie in the whole word

agree on that. What Tippie offers is unique - closest I can think of is Wyn Masters.  He's gonna go to a ton of events, bro down with the people, probably be on the mic, and always be the biggest presence in the room, no matter what room he's in.  Norco could use him.

Maybe YT (Young Talent)  returns in 2026  under  new ownership and a vowel change? OT Bikes would be cool (Old Talent)  Legends like Tippie, Hans Rey and I'm sure loads of other OT's are looking for rides 🤣

Wyn is a great combo of racer, ambassador, and internet personality..

It was mentioned a few pages back that the Syndicate are looking for a new manager the ad is out there on the internet if anyone feels up to it

I'm not sure how many of you have met Tippie, but he is just an absolute force. When he's around, he commands the entire space. The first time I met him was at Aggy's Reunion in... like 2015 or 16 maybe? It was one of the first fest series events and the rider stable there was huge. But if Tippie was anywhere in a 100m of you, you knew it and he was the only one anyone cared about for the most part. 10 years on, he seemingly hasn't lost any of that energy when you run into him at an event. Brands that support him get noticed. I would say as far as YT's marketing visibility goes for non specific event related stuff goes, its the DH Team, Jack Moir, Tippie and Big Priv. I barely noticed anyone else on YT past them.

Honestly, here on the Vital forum's is the ONLY place I run into even the slightest mention of Tippie?
I just seems a bit weird frankly.
