8/13/2026 12:41pm some friends report being pretty happy with the lighter vittoria airliners. I have a trail set that are quite light, like a tube. I aim to throw them in this weekend. They won't offer the protection of a full cushcore, but they're far lighter, so maybe the ride quality is more similar to tubeless.

I had thought CBF was a twin link design but I think Mr Canfield waded into a forum like this once to try explain his patent. There was a minor squabble in the comments about patent violations of which I’m sure nothing became of.

5/19/2026 9:47pm They were, I think at a factory called Pacific that started getting huge folding bike orders in China, so their attention to detail wrt Evil's orders plummeted. They had major alignment issues and were DGAF about fixing it. The carbon frame still had issues with breakage, but it sure looked good. Somewhere out there, there's footage of Brook snapping one...

5/11/2026 4:53pm So like, between your finger and the grip is there your gloves bunch? It seems most riders prefer a thin grip, but I’ve found a thicker grip to be beneficial. Might help if that’s your issue. odi rogues have been good for me.

Same. So where does the weight come from? New lyrik, zeb and a double down are the only things disproportionately heavy. Forbidden frames aren’t obscenely heavy…

utterly ridiculous. they took the bike that was largely panned last year, short stroked the shock, paired with a lighter fork and put lightweight tires on it and are calling it light and nimble? I can't imagine the use case for this bike, but it's not mountain biking as most of us know it. Just get an Avinox equipped bike already and call it a day. The Unno is lighter and more capable. Or a Druid LitE.

this bike is pretty niche, but their other bikes should have a pretty broad appeal - everyone and their dog tripping over themselves to get a high/mid pivot bike out... that't not an accident.

why post this? the brand has burned so many people - athletes and customers, let alone factories and businesses in Asia and elsewhere, and we're expected to just sit here and think, oh this is cool? that aside, Evil had some category bending, shredding 29ers well before the Jeffsy came out.

Wonder if he'll try for a privateer effort, but otherwise seems he's been shuffled out of the sport. I'm sure others know more than I do, but the whole thing...
