Also, is this the first 48v system on a MTB? Most systems out there are 36v.

One company that manufactures MTB suspension is currently already doing kinetic energy recovery damping for factory motorsport applications. It is not one of the big 2 either.

Italian suspension specialist EXT has been on a roll recently, introducing new products and updating existing models regularly. The Storia (enduro) and Arma (DH) coil shocks have now been given a complete overhaul, with plenty of new features added and further construction improvements implemented. We’ve had the Storia V4 on a test bike for a few weeks now, keep reading to learn all about the changes and find out what we think of it on the trail. EXT Storia V4 Highlights PSR (Position Sensitive Rebound) - hydraulic top-out system that eliminates harsh top out and improves sensitivity High and...

Or it could be because they look cool and moto and everyone is now discussing them and leads to sales? Devils advocate I know. But often they change product just to have something new to sell, not because it results in tangible performance benefits.

I saw a teaser page somewhere the other day and there was a shot of a gravel rider... Not exactly holding my breath that it's an MTB product

The limiting factor on virtually all the DC forks fitment, is HT length. 140mm + is too long for most all the brands, and that is a fairly typical XL/L HT length. These mfg.'s need to offer dropped crowns to fit these forks to the bikes that really need them, the Big Boyz bikes. Otherwise, it is a waste of effort as it eliminates the largest group of interested riders.

My Trickstuff Dirretesimas have been amazing for the past two years. Easy to bleed and lever feel is sublime. Everyone complains about cost and wait time with these. But no one complains about the end result… Still trying to get a good bleed on my Formula Cura 4’s and keep my Code RSC’s from fading on big bike park days. BTW, love the content Dave, Nick and crew put out!

There’s also the incredibly likely chance this random Youtuber is going out of his way to find anything remotely negative about a product that has generally favorable reviews solely to generate clicks.

yea, i had a bit of knee-jerk reaction to that weight before i realized it was coil (which was kind of dumb of me). a fox 40 is about an ounce or 2 heavier.

Ya that weight is tough. I get its coil, but my EXT might as well be coil and its significantly lighter. I'm willing to bet a Zeb or 38 with a coil conversion is significantly lighter too.
