5/17/2026 3:56pm Where are we at with the GT frames conspiracy for some of the SC bikes? I like that one. Tallboy providing some more material for the believers.

4/10/2026 1:33pm I heard epic Evo is 29, epic is 32. That makes sense to me, but I know they are still slightly embarrassed about the 6FattyB misstep so I could see them being slower to adopt 32…

3/19/2026 4:07pm Sad to hear about Knolly, I put 5000+ miles on a Fugitive, won a race once, and sold it while it was still going strong. Capable, bombproof trail bike... though it would have been better with Superboost.

3/17/2026 7:11pm You're an amateur. I carry a ton of tools, but every other year or so something goes so horribly wrong I STILL have to walk back to the car. Bikes are pretty good though. My proudest trailside repair was actually roadside...blew a shifter cable 40 miles from home on a cold February day on my gravel bike. I had an...

3/17/2026 7:07pm Hot take but I hope the Forbidden bike doesn’t have internal storage. I’ve never owned a bike with internal storage. Also never carry ANY tools with me (I don’t really go on huge rides) I probably have to walk back to the car once every couple of years. Bikes are pretty good these days. Im biased but I don’t get too turned on by internal storage. Anyways, would a XC/DC bike be the perfect candidate for internal storage or nah? The whole point is to be light. Seems like skipping it would mean a lighter bike, easier to manufacture, less...

3/9/2026 6:22pm Yeah, pretty sure they are prototyping a coil Marra, just not yet ready to sell it. Honestly, the air Marra feels boutique enough already, given the not-often-at-all times I’m a seen it ridden compared to really boutique brands out there. Really do think they need to pair the Dorado with a coil shock, while the air Marra Pro deserves a double-crown version of the Mezzer (something like a modern version of the Travis Tripple), good for 190mm with a 15mm axle. Think Intend’s Infinity EN is pretty lonely in this class! @Manitou are you reading this? :D

3/4/2026 6:07pm Yeah, Berd spokes seem ideal for backcountry repairs, due to the ease of carrying spares. Back in the day there was actually a company that made fiber spokes specifically for temporary use, to get you home if your steel spoke failed. I'm forgetting the exact name...Fiberfix, or something like that. At that time, they didn't consider the fiber tech to be sufficiently durable for permanent usage, hence the temporary repair angle.

3/4/2026 6:06pm Friend of mine has been beating the crap out of them ever since they were available. A lot tougher than I expected. The argument that it would be hard to source one on a trip is kind of silly. You can literally just put a couple in your pocket…

3/2/2026 8:11am Considering that we've got the Marz Shiver, the Manitou Dorado, and the Rockshox RS-1, the statement is completely stupid whatever way you want to swing it.

2/26/2026 8:09am RAAW addressed this issue by using modular dropouts. They first did it with their Yalla DH bike which has now trickled down to their Madonna v3.2. This is what the DH industry might head towards to accommodate UDH. Also can we take a moment to drool over how the black and silver SRAM design works with the RAAW frames 🤤

2/21/2026 8:38am There's a lot of Shimano sponsored riders who are reducing their drivetrains down to 7 speed from 10, it would be smart of Shimano to make a dedicated 7 speed Saint for that reason, 7 speed linkglide saint would be rad

2/19/2026 8:25am I know full well what a four bar linkage is. Or a 6-bar. By your logic, we could have 15-bar linkages, think of the marketing!! By your logic Canyon's DH bike is a 6-bar. It's actually a single pivot. The thing in question is how many links you NEED to have the wheel mounted to the bike. With a linkage driven single pivot, you need one. The swingarm. It's that ONE link that defines everything - axle path, antisquat and antidive performance. One single link. No matter how many additional links drive the shock. Therefore Delta and linkage driven single...
