Shut the fuck up about drivetrain efficiency. Holy shit. Go find a different thread.

"Ask me how I saved hundreds $$$ by switching two clicks of LSC by hand at the top of the climb." Caveat is my XC bike with Float X mounted is parallel to the top tube and easily reachable on the fly. Adjustments to LSC help more for front/rear weight balance on flat vs downhill grades, not efficiency. I rarely want the rear in "Xtra Firm" unless its a road. Love the idea of a "smart switch" that lets you configure a wide range of settings with presets on the bar. Keep the senor driven "Live Valve" part, but make...

Excuse my French, but could we fucking please stop calling bikes "analog", "acoustic", or -the worst I've heard- "bio"? Bikes are bikes. Ebikes are something else. Now get off my fucking lawn you punks!

It's not similar to a Mondraker at all. Mondraker uses a short-dual-link design with the shock compressed between both links. Ari's new design is a Horst-link platform with a rocker link that compresses the shock from one end only.

Man… this forum is screwed. Everything is turning crab, each new product launch is 1.25% better than the shitty unusable last generation, and now we are discussing solar capabilities on an ai bike that will more than likely be a kickstarter scam. The future looks great! 😃

This thread is blowing my mind, because I've had pimples that lasted longer than some of my alloy wheels.

I am not seeing how the last 4 pages of this thread have anything to do with rumors or innovation.

I'd much rather fix a carbon bike with a damaged downtube than an aluminium bike with a crack. Between the two, my money would be on the carbon bike having the longer lifespan. Aluminium fatigue is a bitch.

evil DH bike?

This is only true in a certain ecosystem. To not get caught you need significant amounts of money to fund the doping at the edges. Most athletes don’t have it. doping was widely discussed in EWS circles pre UCI merger. The fact doping in sport is illegal in parts of Europe regardless of whether or not your governing body is a wada signitory, and that’s probably what pushed EWS over the edge. At the same time, posting in forums claiming specific, named, athletes have doped, without proof, is shitty behaviour.

In Western Canada Roberts composites is good. I've used them twice; both times service was great and you can't tell there was a repair. https://robertscomposites.com/

One thing missing here is the fact that with the proliferation of composite know how, there are more people around able to safely repair a wider range of issues. Rather than pretending we are recycling carbon bikes I’d love to see more frames designed in ways that facilitate repair. Repair is verifiable in a way that recycling is not, it is cost effective for everyone concerned, and it is as close as you’ll get to good for the environment. It probably flows on to other design decisions to ensure repair is viable (like bearing placement, etc etc), but designing bikes...

There is a little predicament in the Persian Gulf that that means the hunger for recycled plastic has skyrocketed. Ironically, the moron-in-chief is going to make electric cars, recycling and efficiency a lot more economically attractive in the land of freedumb.
