Overheard at the finish line: He had a tip over in practice and put his arm out to catch himself and his shoulder dislocated a bit. He tried to give it a go in finals but was just too much pain.

Does anybody know what happened to Bode Burke's shoulder in his final run at National Champs? Must have been a pre-existing issue, because he didn't seem to crash in his run ,but he still pulled over mid-run with his shoulder too messed up to ride.

If Tahnee retires early, I won't be surprised. She seems to be dealing with concussion symptoms and rider are taking that more seriously than we've seen in decades past.. She can still uncork a race winning run, but at what cost? Still so much that is unknown when it comes to TBIs...

I don't wanna harsh the vibe but now we're Pinkbike Fantasy. IMO all rider prices need to come down now (or budgets increased), having teams with 4-5 riders isn't nearly as fun as having 10+. We'll see how it goes

6/10/2026 9:49am I’m pretty sure after they built the world cup track, and received heavy backlash from some environmentalists for cutting a few trees, building multiple bike park trails would be completely off limits. Unfortunate, because I have to drive 4+ hrs to the nearest bike park.

Wyn, would be great, they really need to sort the commentary out, its absolutely abysmal. Ric talks some amount of absolute pish, and they really need to be on site and have at least one of the commentators going round the pits and speaking to the riders in the run up to the race and be able to offer some interesting insights.

Based on the contracts and which events are scheduled it looks like the last 3 of the year will again be Soldier Hollow, Whistler, and Lake Placid. Which means they didn't fix the issue in the schedule that will happen this year with trucks unable to make it from Whistler to Lake Placid in time.
