Thanks, glad it's not just me getting that low. When I got them, the guy at the shop says he ran closer to 30 PSI with them, maybe he was talking about the DH tires. My first ride on these was during a particularly wet day with a lot of off camber, wet roots that were very slick and I kept losing the front of the bike. It was very skittish, but it was also a new bike and I was oversprung, so that is probably partly why. I started out at 24psi and kept dumping air the entire time...

5/15/2024 10:51am I mounted up a set of the new Michelin E-Wild enduro Front tire's - without inserts, started at 25 PSI and they were rock hard, dropped to 23 and same, went to 21 and started to feel a bit more manageable but still really firm. For comparison I have been running Michelin DH22's at 25PSI without inserts and 21-22 PSI...

4/24/2024 8:38am I would also mention its important to know most dual crowns have a minimum crown height, ie 220mm from seals to bottom of crown on Ohlins DH fork - so don't push your stanchions through too far or when you bottom out you can bottom your lower crown on the tire and suffer the consequences.

The 29 and 27.5 crowns on the newest 38mm Boxxer are interchangeable. I've got a 29er 38mm Boxxer setup with 44mm offset crowns and reduced down to 190mm travel on my enduro bike. Pretty sweet setup, but a bit heavier than a single crown fork (can't say I noticed that). Also, only 8mm longer axle to crown than the 170mm 38 it replaced!

So just done 4 months of regular riding on the bike and its prototype front suspension...which I call the Smithage system. So far not a single major issue with the front suspension....I have done a little bit of fine tuning of the valving of the FOX DPS shock as it is desiged/specced to be used in a link rear suspension with some degree of leverage ratio and so was a little harsh in its high speed comp valving and also sorted the rebound valving to suit the lower 95psi air pressure I need to run as its being used in...
