Last time an elite male won a UCI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP from USA, Myles Rockwell in 2000, Sierra Nevada Spain-24yrs ago! Last time an elite female won a UCI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP from USA, Leigh Donovan in 1995, Kirchzarten Germany-29yrs ago! (I was her mechanic then 70,000 people PAID $20usd to get into the gates at that race). We need some USA action back on top!

3/14/2024 10:39am The 29 and 27.5 crowns on the newest 38mm Boxxer are interchangeable. I've got a 29er 38mm Boxxer setup with 44mm offset crowns and reduced down to 190mm travel on my enduro bike. Pretty sweet setup, but a bit heavier than a single crown fork (can't say I noticed that). Also, only 8mm longer axle to crown than the 170mm...

12/28/2023 10:34am Any chance of adding one event in Idaho, Colorado, or Utah to make it a more balanced series? The Northwest Cup #3, June 21st-June 23rd in Tamarack, Idaho seems like it would be a perfect addition... Never been there, but the Vital RAW from the race looked pretty legit: https://youtu.be/aVRGKKShlNc?si=Yx_yl1JAR5ncPmny That would give the series a race every month from April to September if you count US National Champs in July at Rock Creek. Would also make it seem a little more balanced since currently 75% of the races (80% if you include National Champs) are all on the East...

10/28/2021 7:15pm Thanks Will! Yeah with some manipulation the shock will come out the left side of the bike. I am working to improve clearances further in this area to make it even easier to install or remove a shock on the next one (and also increase clearance for shock pumps). This prototype has been great for checking real-world clearances and function as I eventually work my way towards the refined production frame. If you've got bike designs you want made, you don't have to be a good welder, you just need to know and hire the right people to weld it...

10/25/2021 12:59pm Thanks Jeff! If you are ever in the Santa Cruz area and want to try a bike for yourself, I should have a few test bikes available after I launch.

10/25/2021 12:53pm Thanks for the kind words! I am planning on getting out and doing some races next year and should have a few bikes for people to check out at those events. I would also like to have demo rides available in the future once I'm up and running. These would be out of the Santa Cruz area (if you live nearby or are willing to take a trip out here). There will be more info about this on the Contra Bikes website once we launch.

10/20/2021 3:56pm Thanks Krispy! The idler pulley is fixed to the front triangle via a CNC machined idler carrier. It doesn't move with the links. Hopefully all the geeking out didn't give you a headache!

10/20/2021 11:04am I do a lot of the fabrication myself (jig construction, mitering, lathe and manual mill work), but I did have quite a bit of help from Noah of Hillside Frameworks on the fabrication side of this one, John at Caletti Cycles did the welding, Dave at Mather Machining did the CNC work on the links, idler, shock mount, tie-bar, and idler carrier, Jeremy at Powder Coat It did the powder coating, and my friend Hans up in Oregon at Motor Control Technology CNC'ed the chain guides.

11/21/2020 8:42am For sure. There are still 6 bars, but the additional 2 bars are just for shock actuation. It ain't no Felt Equilink! It looks exactly like the new Enduro, but with a motor.
