Very good look for higher pivot frameworks from vital g-out pics. can see at neko's bike the main pivot way above the chainring, while on gwin's bike its lower and behind chainring/guard. also noticed gwin had no chain but running ochain, maybe wanting to repeat leogang? that must feel amazing!! Got myself a pair of those. Raicam is an Italian manufacturer. They originated outside of the cycling industry, can’t remember exactly. It was all very neatly packaged, the bleedkit is supreme, rotors and pads seem very nice. Setting them up was a charm, bleeding was super easy and everything has a nice touch to it. Original Pads have no rattle, pad shape is the same as Shimano, TRP, etc. 4P Brakes, pistons work very evenly, it’s a mineral-oil system…it ticks a lot of boxes for me. I haven’t put any meters on them yet but this seems to be a...

Kavenz also has standard and leverage+ rockers, though I think there will just be one rocker for the V8 and different lower shock mount points to change leverage.

Been riding the 180mm dual crown on the enduro bike since the late fall now. I don't see myself going back anytime soon. Ran my old SC fork at 170 then 180mm for a while. The 180 dual sets the A2C back down to closer to the 170mm length and rides better then the 180mm sc. I don't notice the weight and its the first time I've been totally satisfied with the suspension performance and feel on the front of the pedal bike. For any enduro bike type application I don't see myself doing anything different. I wish they made...

Frame storage DOES add weight. A tube is a pretty amazing piece of a construction element. Lightand stiff in multiple directions, in torsion and bending, bending left and right AND up and down. The problem is the moment you cut into it, while a small hole won't really affect things that much, a long slit will though, you're breaking all of it. So to make a downtube with a big hole cut into it to be able to fit things inside of it, you need to add a lot of material around the rim to bring back the stiffness. A...

I'm confused. If people describe me as a salty person, does that help or hurt my hydration levels on a ride?

New Fox 38 release date is March 26th 4pm UTC Nothing crazy - Glidecore air spring, X2 damper, speed hole arch. Weight starts at 2200g for 29" New 40 release date is March 19th 4pm UTC Similar treatment as the 38, but looks like a new mud guard and cassette tooling for the air top-cap

Re: IMBA (and other trail associations) besides them building almost exclusively flow trails, I find the biggest drawback is the mob mentality of people that take part. -Come in and gaslight local government into letting them be the judge jury and executioner regarding how the entire trail system will be built and managed moving forward. -Build exclusively flow. (Requires excavators) -Gaslight local government into requiring parking permits to support excavator trails people didn’t ask for. Parking used to free. -Extended and unnecessary trail closures whenever it even slightly rains. “It’ll ruin the flow berms bro, be a good trail steward...

I’d hanker a guess that most of us here have zero problem with 32 on gravel, rigid mtb, hardtails, and XC race bikes but we’re very wary of it going into disciplines with travel above those. Some of us got bamboozled by 150mm+ 29ers only to have to buy new bikes yet again to get the handling we want out of a mullet bike. We’re tired boss. Our bikes handle really good and we don’t need or want them to be faster. (non racer obv)

@luisgutrod I stumbled over your backlink, so I thought I'd provide direct insights. We reached out to Intend/Cornelius if he would be open to publishing a review. We got the Flash38 for a different (upcoming) project. They did not want the (free) review on top of what other project we offered. It is part of their philosophy, and because we did not buy the fork, we will respect this. @sethimus We follow the strict rule, which is a law over here in Germany: if you get money to do an editorial, you must declare it clearly. If the article got...

It doesn't seem that low. New Spur has 39mm drop in high and 47 in low. Epic 8 evo also has it around 40 in low. Maybe they also spec 165mm cranks because they are focused on the downhill vs just being a quick climbing xc bike. At least for this bike, probably want to keep the bike light, so no adjustable chainstay.

Technically the kinematics across frame sizes would have to be different anyway. Antisquat is dependant on the height of the CoG which is different depending in the rider height (and position). But yeah, that would make bikes even more expensive.
