7/2/2026 3:10am If you had asked me a couple of weeks ago, "What are the chances you buy a Yeti in the next 6 months?" I would have said 0%. Today, 80%.

7/2/2026 3:07am I am going to be completely transparent here in that I work for FSA, but I will say I worked really hard on making the 31.8 40mm Gradient alloy bar one of the most compliant on the market. and here is the proof: (chart from PB article)

7/1/2026 4:24pm He’s suggesting that the benefits of electronic suspension would offset the negatives of pedalling with a high pivot bike. People complain about pedalling a high pivot bike. But if other parts of the bike were more efficient, and it brought you to an acceptable level of efficiency of current bikes, would people complain less?

6/30/2026 2:09pm Losses from bearings are extremely minimal and not noticeable. ~0.1w. The losses in an idler bike are coming from forcing the chain to articulate under tension. Most mtb riders probably have somewhere between 5-10+% loss from the drivetrain (chain). Those losses come from making the chain articulate under load via internal chain friction. Forcing that extra loaded articulation I would expect losses to increase by 30-50%. So your typical dirty oiled mtb chain goes from losing 20w to 30w at 200w chill pedaling load and only gets worse from there. 5w increases are generally considered noticeable. The only thing you...

6/29/2026 10:48am I was at Eurobike last week and was really curious about the Stablead products, specially their suspensions. It looks really well made, I was checking their enduro inverted fork and saw it had a USB-C port. The guy at the stand said it was for an electronic damper. All forks would come with the USB port so you could upgrade to electronics even if you buy a traditional fork. They said the plan to release was for beginning 2027. Other than that, I couldn't find anything interesting apart from the whole Gobao/Avinox CVT madness, really curious to try them.

6/28/2026 10:50pm I've got a bit of time on the Butcher and Eliminator on my Enduro bike and they're legit. I'm coming off of Conti Kryptos and they definitely feel more grippy, I immediately felt the difference in the radial casing as soon as I had them on, the Conti's felt almost wooden in comparison. I was concerned about the Eliminator out back being it's more of a trail bike tire but they're seriously impressive, testing them out with some hard stops on flatter loose / dusty trails I had expected them to slip and drift like my Kryptos but they just...

6/24/2026 9:39am While they're saying this is a test, they added the bolt holes for the idler on all production frames. I couldn't figure out what these were for, until today. Makes me think this "concept" is coming sooner than folks are letting on.

6/24/2026 9:36am Gearboxes have always had drag issues. E-bikes have always had drivetrain issues This was inevitable and makes a ton of sense really … Ironically, the newest talaria’s espouse their bad ass gearbox’s too. Pegs or pedals? You choose.
