22 hours ago Sort of a tech rumour? Remy looks to be on an Avalanche damper in his latest video. We know Vorsprung is working on a new damper, and they had noted they’ve been testing all the other options (including Avy).

6/4/2026 10:46pm There is something to be said for our ability to suck up the high tension drag caused by idlers on high pivot designs but bemoan the low tension drag on chain guides. Been thinking of revisiting a guide just to see how the new leaving angle of the chain from guide to the derailleur affects cage movement during suspension cycling.

6/4/2026 10:46pm I'm pretty sure @jessemelamed was running a lower chain guide on his race bike last year, IIRC. The chain was taken off the guide for climbing and back on for descending. I could also be very mistaken...

6/4/2026 8:59am I’ve always described Maxxis rubber as being porous/low density and that feels like what causes it to wear so quickly. I don’t know how much truth there is to that, anyone else have a similar thought?

6/4/2026 8:42am I will probably get flamed for this, and will offer the caveat that I have only been skimming this page, but I feel like these bikes are great propositions and are in my eyes cool bikes because they’re made to be cheap and practical workhorses for younger demographics that don’t have as much disposable income and want a playful park bike that they can maintain themselves. Maybe I’m just haven’t been following the thread well enough, but I don’t see why the ebike bit is necessary to explain the appeal. Not everyone can afford bougie boutique racing machines, or ebikes...

6/1/2026 9:55am Me: Can we stop and get a 6-bar suspension from Yeti? Mom: We've got 6-bar suspension at home: For older Amflows, but I suppose the new ones might be supported as well: https://www.mklinkage.net/

6/1/2026 9:54am So many of the problems and challenges manufacturers had to make compromises to accommodate, and in so doing, produce something that rode fairly uniquely, simply don’t exist any more. Shock tech, manufacturing/materials tech to make things small, light, durable, stiff, single rings, etc etc. these all drive most designs to the middle of the curve(s) with the outliers being the designers who do want unique.

5/29/2026 10:19am Three new bikes dropping from Whyte today, two regular mountain bikes and one Avinox M2S-powered eeb. Brief overview below: Sythe The Sythe is a 170/160mm alloy enduro bike built for steeper, faster and more technical riding. With Quad-Link suspension, adjustable geometry and MX compatibility, it’s designed for riders who prioritize descending performance but still want a bike they can pedal all day. Sythe is offered in two build options - the S and RS. The former offers the same incredible value as all Whyte’s S-level kits, this time thanks to the Marzocchi Bomber Z1s and Bomber Air piggyback shock. Meanwhile...

5/28/2026 4:32pm The World Cup lands in the familiar setting of Loudenvielle, France for the 2nd round of DH in 2026. The Europe-based race means that getting new bikes, parts, pits and products to the venue is a lot easier than round 1. That means plenty of craziness to peep in the pits. photos by Rick Schubert Antidote Solutions' AS05 bike - Learn all about it here.

5/28/2026 1:51pm I feel like photos of this caliper have floated around on here before, but it's a nice close-up. It's paired with an XTR lever... I am really hoping that new Saint brakes are released this year.

5/28/2026 1:51pm Anyone got a better picture of a Gamux proto with those new Dominions? What's interesting is that there are two hoses getting out, and I don't really see a shifter or something else mounted on another photo:

5/28/2026 8:56am Replacing the Strive? That’s crazy So you have to either choose more of a trail bike or a freeride bike as an enduro, not a 160mm bike
