Since for the foreseeable future we will all be riding our MTBs on this planet only can we just use weight as our term of choice and leave mass out of it since we ain’t in chem lab?

If you guys ever see a tire insert that needs to be made but doesn't exist, let us know. Happy to prototype it and share learnings here. Could do it live on here to see what we learn as well. We are making a custom insert for a team for next season, will see how it goes!

If you want to try them, here is a code you can use for 40% off. Others on the forum feel free to use it as well. "LETSGOMARTIN". Made that code for friends as Martin Maes has been running our Heavyweight insert this season and had them in for his 2x top 10 WC DH finishes. Pretty pumped on that. I'll let others speak on their experience. We're on our 5th iteration and that's what is currently shipping. We've solved some little issues we were having with earlier versions. The bungee was ripping thru the plastic with time and we...

I will preface everything I am about to say by mentioning that I work for a wheel company, and as such I have an unusual capability to replace wheels. I am very very lucky to be where I am and as such this can be taken with a grain of salt. With that being said... Inserts for alloy rims are...

from my experience, there is no preventative maintenance on an alloy rear hoop. You simply admit that you're into a new rear hoop every 12-24 months depending on how many times a year you Ef around and find out. I do that a lot... so I go through 1 alloy reserve or ex511 hoop per year.

Can we please not turn this into a d*ck-measuring contest regarding who rides which steep thing w/ which gearing?

That’s pretty stupid thing to post. I bet a lot of people here have a lot of information on hundreds of bikes that are under embargo, but we’re not dickhead so we don’t just go leaking stuff. This is for people to find stuff out in the wild and post it like if a website messes up by posting a bike early or somebody sees something in the wild or spy shots or whatever not just straight up leaking stuff from your bikeshops account

I would just like to call out the fact that 100% of the 6 mens elite world cups so far have been won on 148 rear ends.

It's a shame there is no way to adjust the height of your handlebars. If you bike's stack is 10mm lower than you'd like you just have to put up with it.It's really unfortunate.

Why don’t DGI just spec electronic suspension to cancel out the inefficiency of gearboxes, are they stupid?

I typically use the climb switch once per ride. I like to turn it on halfway up the climb when I remember I have it and might as well use it. I tend to turn it off halfway down the descent when I’m puzzling over why my suspension isn’t working. I suspect I am not in the minority.

The electronic suspension/high pivot/stand up and pedal convo is the dumbest thing to happen to tech rumors in a long time. Banal, illogical, myopic.

He is implying that the development of the demo is more seen as marketinf and development of the brand as a whole. And that 6500 price tag on a frame really probably just pays for the high drive, features, plus a little extra margin. It’s not indicative of trying to recoup the incredible amount of money spent to develop the bike. Especially considering they aren’t selling demos by the 1000s let alone 10,000s like they do other models. They will make the profits from the demo in that it’s marketing for their brand and the tech will trickle down to...

Excuse my French, but could we fucking please stop calling bikes "analog", "acoustic", or -the worst I've heard- "bio"? Bikes are bikes. Ebikes are something else. Now get off my fucking lawn you punks!
