I typically use the climb switch once per ride. I like to turn it on halfway up the climb when I remember I have it and might as well use it. I tend to turn it off halfway down the descent when I’m puzzling over why my suspension isn’t working. I suspect I am not in the minority.

Since we're off topic enough,I might as well invest my 2¢... I have enough experience on all sorts of bikes and their electric lookalikes. To me a downhill bike is the purest form of mountain biking. And this is my subjective understanding of the sport. I also really enjoy pedaling my Enduro bike. But I think most of us agree that the descent is what we call the "fun part". A downhill bike doesn't make compromises, and focuses solely on the fun part. You could try to argue that an ebike is about getting more of that fun part, but...

I will probably get flamed for this, and will offer the caveat that I have only been skimming this page, but I feel like these bikes are great propositions and are in my eyes cool bikes because they’re made to be cheap and practical workhorses for younger demographics that don’t have as much disposable income and want a playful park bike that they can maintain themselves. Maybe I’m just haven’t been following the thread well enough, but I don’t see why the ebike bit is necessary to explain the appeal.
