DH racing lured me in. I've never done any sort of fantasy sport before and I'll never admit it to anyone in real life...but I think this is going to be fun as hell!

Spank 359 rims , rebuild your current set , and you still have the money to buy a full set of wheels from spank with hubs. Now you have 2 coomplete sets of quality wheels

Leaving South Korea today just wanted to say thanks to those that gave advice in this thread was really helpful. South Korea is amazing will definitely be back hopefully with a bike next time. Chatted to a few Americans at the race so not sure if your on here but this is me if you recognise me.

Never understood the Naver thing when I lived there , even with local IP I couldn’t understand much anyhow with the language barrier.

Honestly, it's hit and miss. Basic Naver registration can get done fairly easily, but to really be able to do anything you normally need a Korean Resident ID and phone with a local carrier. It's all linked together. I'm going to make a broad assumption that purchasing tickets at the event is probably the easiest thing to do. Looking up ticket sales for other races doesn't really bring much up either.

Can I ask who's posting the XC course build? You can check live webcams to see some of the snow situation. http://ski.atik.kr/#mona/2 Base Overview is where the XC course will be. The treeline in the center of the shot is where some of those photos were taken. Mega Green Slope is where the DH finish area will be or the track will run through it. It was another dry winter, so most of the snow is man-made. The forest areas aren't going to be very thick, mostly over-spray. The open slopes is another story. By the end of April, the...

That was a big factor for me in ordering Spank hubs. Not to mention for having DH race spares I can have consistency with an o chain and not need multiple sets of wheels all built with the DF system.

Career numbers should be a thing. Over on the bmx side of things I don’t know the criteria but riders can select a career number and it works great for branding. I also don’t know the details on when they lose them, but I remember from Coffee Chatter that Tory Nyhaugs career number just came up for grabs with his...

Korean BBQ and fried chicken should be on everyone's weekly bingo card.

As a Korean American, I'm pretty stoked that the world cup is heading to South Korea. On every team's bingo card should be: - Korean BBQ - Soju Bombs - Korean fried chicken - Karaoke rooms - Spa house lol

a good well specced steel hardtail will ride better than a entry level dual suspension bike IMO.

A true radial tire (bike or otherwise) just refers to the support filaments direction. In a true radial these filaments run arranged 'radially' from bead to bead, and this means that the filaments don't touch each other and are only in contact through much softer rubber. A bias ply tire has these filaments at angles and as such they contact each other a lot, sort of like how if you touch one part of a spider web the entire spider web is interconnected and all of it moves. As a result, a radial tire when it comes in contact with...
