My 60lb 9yo is pretty aggressive, so he required 20psi front and 24psi rear in his 24” Maxxis EXO casings to keep from pinging on his park/dh race bike. On his XC race bike we were running 14/15psi. Now he’s on 27.5f/26r for DH racing and park, and we’ve been experimenting with 20psi front in an EXO+ and 22psi rear (albeit with a custom CushCore). No complaints of any over inflation symptoms. Obviously, depending on the level of riding, the pressure demands will vary greatly.

my 12 year old 110 pounds, runs 20 front and 22 rear for his trail bike with trail casing tires. Still destroys rims from time to time. On his downhill bike, this is the result of 25psi , DHR2 , downhill casing and Tannus insert . Got 2 rides out of this rim. Last season at 100 pounds, only a...
The Virginia Tech test protocol are the best thing we have right now, but no doubt there's room for improvement. Like you said, the VT Tech test protocol (and to my knowledge the test protocol for all safety certifications) only test for narrow velocity ranges, which means that a Moto helmet is great for running into a wall at 40 mph and an MTB helmet is better for tipping over from a dead stop, but we don't currently have a good formal way of answering how those same helmets would do in the reverse scenario. There are some helmet manufacturers...

I was told that they are compatible. I am currently running a TRP 7speed system with a sram 7speed cassette. I am not a fan of the rear derailleur and reached out to the guys at Madrone Cycles to ask about the new Jab DH and was told that the pull ratio of both sram and trp 7speed setups is the same allowing for cross compatibility and meaning they use the same cam for the Jab derailleur.

DH racing lured me in. I've never done any sort of fantasy sport before and I'll never admit it to anyone in real life...but I think this is going to be fun as hell!

Spank 359 rims , rebuild your current set , and you still have the money to buy a full set of wheels from spank with hubs. Now you have 2 coomplete sets of quality wheels
