6/24/2026 6:37pm The "LT" on the frame suggests that the 160 and 140 (MT?) are going to share the same platforms and travel will be a linkage and/or shock stroke change. Looked good in the raw carbon I saw, but really looks tidy painted.

6/24/2026 6:37pm Big fan of this... anyone else notice the dropouts? Looks like they're modular like on the Forbiddens so assume wheel size changes wiith these rather than a flip chip on the ebikes.

6/24/2026 8:06am I wish it was something that made sense to do. The reality is there aren't that many DH bikes out there. To be able to distribute the development costs enough to have a reasonably priced product we'd need pretty much everyone who owns a new Demo to buy something. It would be a fun project no doubt though.

6/19/2026 7:14pm I got my first ride on these today. I'll get more in the coming week I'm sure. I paired them with a grip change to Wolf Tooth's lockon grips. For a little background, I have pretty significant neuropathy problems in both of my arms due to long running Cubital Tunnel syndrome. I've had surgery but the pain still exists when I ride and sometimes it still lingers after. My problems are somewhat the opposite of Joe's, his seem to stem from being highly athletic and having forearm pump, mine stem from sitting behind a computer since I was 8 years...

6/17/2026 9:25pm This is my experience as well the only other negative I have experienced on multiple occasions is in deep trenched chutes it like to grab the edges a bit more than other tires and throw your balance off. I have been running the high roller 3 for a couple of months and it works better in the loose over hard conditions by far. I haven’t ran it in all conditions yet but have been really happy so far.

6/17/2026 9:22pm Yeah I feel like this post is a setup for average dudes to admit they’re afraid of the DHF! I am afraid of the DHF.

6/17/2026 9:22pm how people can ride the DHF on the front is beyond me lol - I Had so many near-death experiences on those. Been a big DHR2 on the front for years but on conti's now.

6/17/2026 9:22pm I wouldn't go as far to say that the Assegai has a no grip dead zone as you're leaning it over... I find it pretty agnostic to lean angle when compared to other tires (DHF for example). That being said, there is a type of loose over hard condition where the assegai is not quite at it's best. I have a non-engineering or scientific theory that it has to do with a combination of: knob support, overall width, knob arrangement/direction. These absolute shit show, golf ball sized gravel loose over hard, or deep loose/powder loose over hard or any loose...

6/17/2026 9:21pm This is wild and speaks to different people’s experiences. I dislike the DHF because I don’t think it offers any improved cornering grip and the grip that is there is vague and hard to tell when you’re near the limit. The Assegai on the other hand has better grip overall and I can tell better where I am at relative to its break free point. The only downfall to me about an Assegai is its rolling speed.

6/17/2026 12:00pm I run Revgrips and bought a pair of the Wolftooths a couple of days ago. You could run them stock with Revs but there will be a big gap where the collar is so not at all ideal. I think you could clearance the round seat that is supposed to lock onto the bar to make room for the Rev...

6/17/2026 11:53am That I've lived long enough for bar ends to come back into fashion! What a time to be alive!!! At least they have improved how they look I guess?

6/17/2026 11:53am I got a pair on this weekend and have a few hours on them so far. I like them. They’re made of rubber, not plastic or metal, so they don’t hurt your pinkies (like the Counterpunch bar ends). If you’re just riding along on flat ground you don’t have to push into them, so they’re not intrusive. On steep and gnarly stuff, they really do feel like you’ve got more handlebar to push on. I’m hard-pressed to come up with a better description than “locked in”. Makes it feel really natural to weight the inside hand on a turn. Also...

6/15/2026 8:26am Downtime mentioned how widespread the breeden bar ends are becoming, with people like Bruni, Pierron and many many others using them. Owning a pair, having recovered from 2 broken hands (left then right) in 3 years, I've found they definitely live up to the hype and really helped with arm pump and security of my weak hands on the bars. The bar ends are a much more interesting innovation than I originally expected, because they significantly change the biomechanics of the upper-body while riding. Stopped by the Orbea pits this weekend and they've cut grips down (pretty sure it was...
