I'll never forget grabbing a older bladder I thought I'd tossed that I'd filled with a Redbull/vodka/OJ Mix I used at a music festival for three days straight in the hot sun and then it likely sat for 9 months with water, in it after trying to clean it out, having likely thrown out the fresh one I'd picked up to replace it by accident after using it once. The first swing tasted weird and the second one I puked and went home.

Re: Water satchel sanitary issues/remedies. One of the best bladder & bottle tips I ever got was from Dirt Rag (RIP) ages ago. That tip? Denture cleaning tablets. 2-3 depending on the size of bottle/bladder. Works a treat and even adds a slight minty taste to the water, which is better than the plasticy/rubbery taste of some of the aforementioned, IMO at least.

Anything to prevent creaking is a big hell yeah from me. I've beat this poor horse to death, but single crown forks shouldn't be a disposable item for the bigger and/or smashier set.
It seems like a thread-on crown race that in turn squeezes a flanged steer tube around the upper crown could fully prevent creaking when combined with this one-piece upper.
Shoots, you might even be able to use a 1 1/8 without creaking with this design, allowing a massive amount of headset adjustment options. I wrote it here, can't be patented, let's make a standard, lol.

That would be a crazy tooling/fixturing setup to machine that from a billet if that's the case. My bet is that its cast then machined to provide the necessary tolerances and surface finish. Either way I would really like to see a video of the machining in action!

Creaking can come from any of the 3 tubes in the crown… so ideally you’d address all of them at the same time. I also think more parts=more problems.
The one piece is awesome but obviously not going to work for anything price sensitive.
I know RS did a ton of testing to try and fix creaking CSUs as it’s a significant warranty cost to them and also hurts image. I believe we had warranty data showing good progress but yeah it still happens. My Zeb is loud AF. Haha

My warranty replacement Zeb CSU crown is thicker around the steerer tube and the flat area around the crown race is now wider than the headset cup. Hopefully this makes it less prone to creaking, but making the interfaces taller would be way more effective as you say.

Yeah its definitely not cast. Im guessing they (radoxx who machines them) has a wide block of billet aluminium, and machine out several rough forks, and then put each one through the operations in a 5axis machine
The "legs" also have way rougher machining marks than the normal forks do, most likely since its one piece, they cant put the legs in a lathe, but rather has to have the cnc machine swivel around the leg to remove material.
I believe they also use the regular steerer pressed in like the other forks.
Will be a limited edition run, orders opening in a few weeks

Looks like a TMD is hanging out on the steerer tube. And, is that another sensor zip tied to the rear shock?
Probably the position sensor or whatever the device is called that measures the stroke?

Isn't the Rockshox RS-1 already a single piece (carbon) inverted fork? And those failed carbon linkage forks from a few years ago?
