4/22/2026 4:49am Engineers at Scott must be going insane after finding out Specialized has beaten them at making the most complicated MTB to service, the next Gambler will have 32 pivots in retaliation

4/21/2026 9:59pm It would be really cool if they kept selling the current aluminum demo with a poverty spec for people that donāt want to refinance their house. For what itās worth that bike seemed universally liked.

4/21/2026 11:47am Do I understand correctly? Weāre getting an obviously pretty hefty frame with normal geo, an only-13/14mm-rearward-travel design, with a fine price tag of 7500⬠in Europe? April fools was 3 weeks ago, for Batmanās sake! Would have been better if they left it as an unreleased proto, they wouldnāt have received the big hate wave thatās coming! š¤£

4/21/2026 11:42am Imagine being Specialized and finally releasing a bike that has been a prototype mule for multiple years, with many victories before its released, only for people to see it and say "nah f*ck that." Rough.

4/21/2026 7:36am Is it just me or does this front wheel actually look awfully big on this Dorado? 32ā wheel on a modified Dorado?

4/21/2026 7:00am S Works with RockShox?! I wonder how Ohlin's feels about this, lol. Welp, I guess this means there's a $12,000 build of the Demo for us peasants š

4/9/2026 3:58am I forget where I heard it, but supposedly these new Dominions are launching at the Sea Otter and are pumping....MINERAL OIL! š²If true, that is actually a plus for me, but I know it is a very contentious topic and will alienate a lot of existing users and DOT fans.

4/3/2026 9:06am Would have considered the new Rallon the perfect frame if it was a high-pivot one. Looks, weight, geo, travel numbers - all perfect⦠except for the suspension design - personal preferences!

3/25/2026 3:30am Yeah, the discounted Mezzers were a strange sight, to be honest - if I was in the market for an enduro-fork, Iād be all over them (but having a dh-bike, I donāt see the point of an enduro fork taking place up front instead of my Dorado! š). In the previous rumors thread, we were discussing the possibility of Manitou...

3/24/2026 12:36am Speaking of the Hayes group, no one commented a few pages ago on the mentioning of possible new Mezzer and updated Dorado - no one has any inside info on this?

3/24/2026 12:08am "Commercially Viable" means you can bring an item to market expecting to profit. DH bikes are an incredibly small share of the bike market which can make it tough to be commercially viable. So much so that many bike companies see DH racing primarily as a marketing activity. For instance I don't think there were ever production versions of the Yeti rail bike, Hyper's freeride bike, the Honda bike, or Herbold's suspension Miyata. I meant my comment to relate to prototypes generally, not specifically to the Devinci you mentioned.

3/23/2026 1:49pm If memory serves right, the testers were impressed by the proto. Like, really impressed! Now what ānot commercially viableā means is beyond my understanding.

3/23/2026 12:59pm Iāve wondered for the past 2-3 years why Devinci didnāt put that proto-HP Wilson in production, the gravity-est bike they have is the Chainsaw which, although pretty versatile and with 180mm at the bike, still aināt a dh-bikeā¦

3/19/2026 3:56am Has anybody heard anything about a new mezzer and/or that new dorado prototype that was spotted last year? I remember hearing manitou's fork dynos were very busy a while back when they started liquidating their current mezzers for so cheap. The talk about a coil prototype makes me curious what they're up to.

3/9/2026 7:47am Yeah, pretty sure they are prototyping a coil Marra, just not yet ready to sell it. Honestly, the air Marra feels boutique enough already, given the not-often-at-all times Iām a seen it ridden compared to really boutique brands out there. Really do think they need to pair the Dorado with a coil shock, while the air Marra Pro deserves a...

3/7/2026 12:47pm I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.
