I used that logic for way too long before I finally bought some Dominions and realised I was being really stupid. Never going back to Shimano or Sram brakes. The only downside I've found is holding back the vomit whenever i have to use someone elses brakes.

MSRP $215. Feeling pretty good about my prediction that a mechanical Transmission shifter + derailleur + cassette will cost more than slapping a Deore wireless shifter + derailleur on your existing Eagle/Shimano 12sp setup.

But the bolts only pull the two halves together. They are not a tight fit in the bore. The rest of the aluminium structure (from the bolt head to the start of the thread) can still deform and the seam between the two parts can open up, lowering the stiffness. Unless really badly designed (really thin bridge), a one piece part will be stiffer and lighter than a two piece design. But also much more expensive as it's more complicated to make.

Seems like the only reason for this to exist is to save on labour costs in installing the post in the factory. Another innovation I can live without.

I believe Transmission's effectiveness is partially dictated by having the exact right # of links in the chain. They have an app where you put in your make/model/year/frame size/chainring size and it spits out how many links you need. I'd wager to guess that Sram probably discouraged frame manufacturers from adjustable chainstays when they were selling them on UDH because it could potentially cause less-than-desirable shifting performance if the user didn't have the correct number of links because of chainstay length adjustment. Which would then make the user think that their Transmission sucks. Just a hunch.

Don't quote me on this...but I think the Pinky Field Test mentioned that Transmission itself can only be used on the longer of the two chainstay lengths. I seem to recall it sounding like the UDH hanger works just fine in both positions but not the direct mount Transmission. Raaw also has an adjustable dropout if you use their dropout. They offer a UDH dropout but it's not adjustable. I haven't looked closely at Transmission (because I kind of don't care and I kind of don't want to want it; I'm happy with mechanical) so I'm not sure what the...

This is the most mountain bike industry product ever. We are adding a tiny servo on the bottom of the dropper that limits insertion and also you have to charge it and pay $300 for it? For what to get ride of 2 feet of cable? Will the remote and electronics in the post be reliable? Maybe, will they be as reliable as a $2 shifter cable? No.

I recently bleed brakes by vacuuming on one side but with the other side (syringe) open which lets the oil flow through. That way there is a vacuum, but the oil can pull through so hopefully the level of vacuum is fairly low. With a proper machine you could dial it in to a point where the seals in the master might still be holding tight instead of letting air past. The seals in the caliper SHOULD work with vacuum as well as high pressure... The OnlyMotion upgrade... It's the price of a full dropper? And still has a cable...

Ironically, for the cost of 1 electronic dropper, you could buy 3 normal droppers and wouldn't need to swap anything. Bikers will buy the most stupid sh*t and electronic droppers is at the top of that list.

batteries are round, seatpost is round, put round battery in round tube. Until that is achieved, I will suffer with my tiny bit of cable going from my head tube to handlebar.

It looks just as terrible as the Fox Version, Why do we need such a big 'wart' Looking thing halfway up the seat tube..... I want a wireless dropper but i dont want either of those 2 ugly things, especially because i want 240mm drop and the ability to slam the post.... Im happy to pay those prices when a brand can actually design one that doesnt look terrible.

Long stroke the shock to 65mm and get 160mm, slap a 170mm fork on. Different paint, minimal investment???

This is a bit like asking what is the correct stance in snowboarding, goofy or regular? There is no "correct", it's whatever works best for you.
