6/18/2025 4:08pm Haha hey im a process engineer at a large machine shop and the first thought I had was that it’s actually an awesome design. My issues was more critical of the already trivial benefits of vibration damping to then mount it to even stiff plastic mount is still going to be another layer of damping that’s between the bike and...

6/18/2025 8:37am I mean cmon, we have the mass dampers mounted to 3D printed flexy plastic number plates now?

5/19/2025 8:06am Did we discuss the ridiculously large flight attendant lights or whatever they were? I forget who it was but one of the women had one facing forwards looked like an F1 car tail light. Then Loris was shining so bright into his face I could see the glare which had to be distracting as hell. I think a simple small...

5/2/2025 8:56am Even in moto, the energy drink thing isn't an issue unless their name is on the team like Monster energy with Kawasaki or Star Yamaha and Red Bull with KTM. Jett and Sexton were on HRC together with different energy drink sponsors. As good as Asa is he hasn't yet lined up for an elite race, he still has a...

4/16/2025 11:24am Im not disagreeing that there is enough people close by but I'm saying COMPARED to Snowshoe where you are immersed in the event all weekend your lodging is in walking distance to every single event for the whole weekend, you can walk to multiple bars and restaurants, concerts at night etc. Is a lot more enticing and valuable to most...

4/16/2025 11:13am I understand but that but its just not a great venue when compared to Snowshoe, which obviously they didn't go to for one reason or another maybe Snowshoe didn't bid on it this year.

4/16/2025 10:13am Wow looking at White Face as a destination is pretty lack luster, I don't see many fans traveling for this venue. The whole village looks like its the size of the gift shops at Snowshoe.

4/4/2025 10:26am Of all the things the riders and fans have been complaining about the 3 rider podium seems like hardly the hill to die on, almost every other sport especially motorsports have a 3 person podium including all Olympic sports. Any type of boycotting will only hurt the riders, Discovery may end up losing money but who can afford to lose...

2/26/2025 9:44am Agree, I don't think its an issue at all, I guess the only issue could be if a rock or something were to get wedged perfectly in a hole and scrape against the stanchions same thing could happen in a normal fork if something falls in behind the arch anways.

2/18/2025 10:35am This is the most mountain bike industry product ever. We are adding a tiny servo on the bottom of the dropper that limits insertion and also you have to charge it and pay $300 for it? For what to get ride of 2 feet of cable? Will the remote and electronics in the post be reliable? Maybe, will they be...

2/14/2025 5:10am When he actually retires hopefully he wants to do some DH, if anyone at RedBull is listening this would be an opportunity for some awesome content. Get Ken to come out to the Windrock national, pair him up with Aaron Gwin and have him show him how to do track walk. How the whole race day works, which lines to...

2/13/2025 9:38am How many would tune in or come to a race just to see a privateer race? How many would come to see Roczen?

2/13/2025 7:40am Honestly I think fitness is the least of his worries, yes to be at that top level he wpuld have to alter his training a bit to be more sprint focused but he is still in better shape than probably 99% of the world cup guys. He is also the best at first few lap sprints than anyone in Supercross...

2/13/2025 7:37am I don't think the Bernard Kerr trying to race Supercross is a good comparison, you have to be at a very high level to even make it around a supercross track (not rolling everything). Where as DH someone at a reasonable level can make it down the track and hit the main line at a certain speed obviously. I think...

1/16/2025 5:04am Was kind of thinking the same thing, honestly the smartest move by Pinion may just be to not sponsor anyone and have the teams buy the product outright or just give them free product in exchange for a jersey logo? They are kind of forced to run the gearbox to take advantage of the belt and everyone already knows they...

1/8/2025 7:20am I do agree with that positive is that if you strip your threads on your posts than you can easily replace them but I dont know if thats a HUGE issue but is a plus for this design. Also neither this or UDH is backwards compatible the frames have to be designed around them.

1/8/2025 7:00am Thats how I read it as well, then the mount has a pinch bolt to clamp over that big post. Everyone stating this solves "complex" brake post alignment issues, the distance/angle between 400 and 426 will be very critical. UDH solved the issue of every bike having different and expensive hangers, we already have a universal brake mount its called...

1/2/2025 9:24am So does every bushing in an old school XT derailleur if it is regularly maintained. This spinning freely is a marketing thing, what is more important is how well they spin under the load of the chain pull.

1/2/2025 9:21am Its not crazy at all to think that he is making more than an engineer at the company, almost any other sport is like this. Its just a bike company we are talking about its not like you need to pay an engineer 250K a year.
austin-NC Added a reply to Enduro is Dead, how would you revive it?
12/31/2024 4:54am Here in NC there is quite a few enduro races within a couple hours but I just cant justify the $120 price to race a total of about 10-15 minutes. I think they could charge about half that and get a ton more entries and end up better off but they have to take that chance first. Comparing to the...
