12/6/2024 12:23am surely i cant be the only one who hates the fox neo dropper design, ie the system being at the mid cap assembly, it looks so out of place and odd. We buy all these nice clean looking bikes then a huge bulge 3/4 up a seat tube lol. I've been wanting a wireless dropper but not when they look like that lmao

12/1/2024 1:34am WB reaches about bringing in outside sponsors, but almost everything they have done has made that less likely to happen. Putting race coverage behind a paywall reduces visibility of MTB, this makes the sport less valuable to sponsors not more. Even if in Europe it is now available on cable tv coverage, that isn't very valuable since the retention rate of viewers was very poor. That means the viewership is almost useless to sponsors. WB has made viewership numbers very difficult to find, the only thing I've seen was a German article months ago. WB has made DH less attractive...

12/1/2024 1:29am Yeah Mr like guy said up earlier, why have criteria #2-4 if #1 is points? They’re giving themselves permission to monkey with the teams. When the selection process involves something other than straight up objective points, people are more likely to do favors. That part about WBD talking with some team managers but not others?—with non disclosure agreements? Shutting down that muddy juniors race with riders in the gate? They are way too unconcerned with the bike race part of the bike race they bought.

12/1/2024 1:27am I think the thing that makes people suspicious of WBD and UCI is that WBD and UCI keep doing suspicious things (including well-documented meetings with certain team managers but not all team managers and forcing them into NDAs as tight as not revealing anything even to athletes on their own teams in order to be in those meetings). 12/1/2024 1:25am Why did they (you??) include bullets 2 - 4 if they weren't intent on introducing some level of nepotism to the selection process?

12/1/2024 1:25am Ahhh his Messi point is silly because it's the SECOND bullet, not the FIRST. 🤣 The more this guy posts in defense of WBD, the more I'm convinced it's Ball's burner account.

12/1/2024 1:23am The difference between the 2 is that Red Bull's events are private events, organised, produced & broadcast by them. They can invite whoever they want, no one can argue otherwise. WBD are organising World Cups on behalf of the UCI, the world governing body for competitive cycling events. They should be completely neutral & the only way to be free from bias/influence is to go off points for all teams. Personal opinion... I don't agree with handing control of the highest level of a sport to a TV production company to shape it how they want. I think I might've...

11/24/2024 12:38pm it seems like a Sram problem not other way, that's the pad that Sram specs on the brakes, just like the Race Green is the Hope choosen one out of the box, same goes with the Maximas and their great power + pad. For the rest ( the dyno test part ) i do agree with you, it's a shame Sinter did not have the maven pad ready yet at the time of testing.

11/24/2024 12:28pm totally agree with everything you said, indeed, best brakes Sram has made, but i don't see how they can be better than hopes for example, which has been proven stronger with the same effort to the lever AND has a way lighter free stroke, so even if you have a perfect brake technique and go hard all the time will result in less fatigue, just like for someone dragging brakes all the time like me.

11/24/2024 10:36am Yup. And they were told to not be a copy cat again before release but apparently ignored it. Copying arguably the best brake on the market and even doing improvements AND then iterating on them with more improvements is one thing. Blindly copying the most well known CNC crank on the market that is not even the best design for. A crank is just pure laziness... I was in the give the benefit of doubt camp before this release, now there is no helping them.

11/24/2024 10:36am Magnet works by magnetic moment (which origins from elemental quantity called spin) of unpaired electrons in material being aligned which produces a magnetic field. Roughly speaking ofc.

11/18/2024 12:04am Sure everyone has preferences, but aren't you letting your own biases lead you to disregard his reviews as flawed or invalid? The mavens do have a very heavy pull compared to other brakes on the market, Shimano, Hayes, maguras, other srams, and if you are not an amazing or experienced rider, you are going to drag your brakes far more. Heavy pull and brake dragging leads to hand fatigue and arm pump. That can be corrected with different braking technique, but one that is more suited to racing, braking late and hard only when you need to. But the majority...

11/17/2024 2:10am No ones said that no other brake has issues out of the box. But it has been repeatedly said from everybody (accross the board) that every Maven takes more steps to get it working as intended. Thats not a negative thing really. But it is a ballache. Regardless of how many times you say it ,you are an outlier in that regard with Hope. Not the norm. And you chose to single them out for it, so i’ve just been responding that your issue is not common. Sorry you don’t like that. @NicoZesty96 Can’t remeber exactly, but I stopped considering...
