7/1/2026 3:45am I typically use the climb switch once per ride. I like to turn it on halfway up the climb when I remember I have it and might as well use it. I tend to turn it off halfway down the descent when I’m puzzling over why my suspension isn’t working. I suspect I am not in the minority.

6/30/2026 12:32pm The reason flight attendant has a huge uptake in XC is because SRAM sponsored teams are required to run it. I know four different world cup athletes and they have all said they would just prefer a manual lockout. When it works properly it's alright but it's heavy and frequently has connectivity problems between all the components. It seems more casual users like it with one less thing to think about while riding and the weight doesn't matter to a more casual rider. As for trail/enduro bikes, ever wonder why every single SRAM EWS athlete stopped riding LYRIK and started...

6/28/2026 1:41am https://www.performancetrends.com/PDFs/Ohlins-TTX-Shocks-Tech-Adjustmen… is a pretty good read that talks about using poppet valves in a TTX 40. I'm not an engineer, I don't play one on TV, but I do think that sometimes people on the Internet get wound up concerning the finer points of X vs Y. Everything has tradeoffs and various systems have benefits and limitations so at the end of the day a poor/limited implementation of a system that contains X or Y may not address or overcome those limitations. The flip side of that coin is the limitations may not matter much or be noticeable in the...

6/25/2026 12:18am Arguing about surrons and surron demographics on the MTB tech rumors thread. Sick. I wonder if SRAM considered 6 pistons when working on the Mavens. Maybe after the 1000th piston massage, some SRAM tech was like maybe we should just add 2 more pistons.
