Two days of racing await the EDR field in Val di Fassa this weekend, for the third round of the 2026 World Cup. Canazei always serves up a real test, with high altitude starts, rough and natural trails, and lifts that allow for accessing more vert. Racing gets underway today, Saturday June 27 - here's a look at what happened during training to get you into the action:

Winnifred Goldsbury made more memories in Austria’s largest bike region, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn after clinching her first Women’s Elite UCI Enduro World Cup victory, while Sławomir Łukasik (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team) returned to the top step of the Men’s Elite podium in difficult conditions. At the moment, nato base trails kinda suck - blown out and tons of sand/dust. If you're not scared of a bit of pedalling, try the trails that go to the other side of the mountain from Nato (a carbonera, scaletta, neverland, etc.). Also, the trails around monte carmo seem to be in a better shape - hiroshima, hell boy...

Squamish enduro from yesterday. Local race but a few EDR racers use it as a preseason benchmark with a couple of National champs and the women’s world champ lining up. Props to the filmers as this got posted 2 hours after the podium. Jonathan Helly and Elly Hoskins took the top steps.

Surron had a prominent presence at Sea Otter, and a number of kids were riding these e-motos (along with pit bikes) throughout the expo in ways that were disruptive and inconsiderate. I’m still developing my perspective on high-powered eMTBs (which I consider a separate thing), but it’s hard to ignore how often these machines seem to encourage poor behavior — or at least attract it. I often hear the argument that it’s better for kids to be outside on bikes (of any sort) than indoors glued to their phones. In principle, I agree. But increasingly, it feels as though the...

Just give it a thumb throttle and call it a day. 800% "Assist" is just a joke. When the motor is doing more than 50% of the work you are being pushed. You are cosplaying a cyclist. These bikes shouldn't be called pedal assist, they should be called CosPeds.

One argument that’s been lost on me is the claim that theirs still a speed limit on the bike , so it’s ok. There’s even a comparison above to the Tesla plaid cheetah mode. My perspective is that there’s also a big difference. Yes, you can take an insanely powerful Tesla out on the roads, but that’s inherently a structured environment. There’s signs , lanes, reflectors for the edge of the road, clear sight lines, etc. So if you’re gonna go do 120 in a Tesla you have at least some chance of predicating or seeing what all the other...

I think the biggest issue in enduro racing right now is the perception among many so-called fans and the overall negativity surrounding the sport. I raced in Finale in 2017, during the "glory era", and I’ve also raced at least two rounds in each of the last three years. The racing is the same. The sport is the same. Since...

Curmudgeon moment incoming, my apologies: This is exactly the reason I don't give a shit about motocross or cars or a million other things. I 100% don't give a shit about numbers. "Oh, but this one can do 150nm of power!" Cool. I don't care. I don't ride a bike looking for the easiest way to do anything. Does it do 150nm of making my will to live stronger? Will it do a 30-second boost mode of shutting my brain off? Is it 1300W of power that'll die in a year and completely brick the bike for two months while...

Hi. I‘ve been in Sardinia a few times with family, surf board and bikes. There a really good places to ride and the community is growing. It depends how good your kids a riding. 1. F.e. Mt. Ortobene next to Nuoro is a great trail center where it‘s really easy to access all the trails. Great for kids, easy climb, not steep. Nice cafe at the top. 2. Parco di Porto in the west. Is also a trail center but more challenging. Steeper in general and more technical demanding. Really great view from to top and easy to find the...

It finally rained in my area after a full month of dusty trails, so I decided to get a rear radial tire to pair with my Magic Mary up front. I was a bit surprised to see that Schwalbe doesn’t offer the Magic Mary in Ultra Soft for the 27.5 version. Have any of you tried the Radial Soft compound...
