6/1/2026 9:20pm Me: Can we stop and get a 6-bar suspension from Yeti? Mom: We've got 6-bar suspension at home: For older Amflows, but I suppose the new ones might be supported as well: https://www.mklinkage.net/

6/1/2026 9:20pm Those 6 bar yeti bikes had reviewers gushing. I’ve had absolutely zero desire to try a switch infinity bike. If they follow through with 6bar non e-bikes I’ll be really trying to give them a shot.

6/1/2026 9:19pm So many of the problems and challenges manufacturers had to make compromises to accommodate, and in so doing, produce something that rode fairly uniquely, simply don’t exist any more. Shock tech, manufacturing/materials tech to make things small, light, durable, stiff, single rings, etc etc. these all drive most designs to the middle of the curve(s) with the outliers being the designers who do want unique.

6/1/2026 9:19pm I had assumed this would be 'one bike' now. As with the LTE & MTE, the Sixfinity platform allows you to run either full 29 or MX set up via a flip chip. I can't see that in the current climate it makes any sense to manufacture two platforms. I currently own an SB120 and an SB160 and wonder whether they will become the pinnacle of engineering when it comes to development and complexity of the SI system. It seems like the industry is defaulting to a four/five bar approach by default now. Santa Cruz are obviously another majot example...

5/30/2026 7:30pm So, Transition dropped a spy shot of the new Santa Cruz to hype up the release of a competitors new bike? Unless Pon is buying Transition, that doesn't make much sense...

5/29/2026 11:34am Transition has the dank taco truck thing going on Everyone in Bellingham works for transition or evil or Kona Santa Cruz marketing was absolutely tempting transition to post that photo on purpose Becasue the embargo was like a week away and the bike was ready to ship We got them all looking for ways to sneak the obvious and make it look sneaky or obvious Nobody got fired and many Tallboys have been sold Smugglers still heavier and spur geo Is conservative compared to tb Tacos. It’s all about tacos.

5/28/2026 6:53pm Haha, yeah that was me! I saw it again two weeks ago, it was full of telemetry devices this time. I asked when it was coming out and the guy tried to tell me it was a Pivot this time 'round. Can't imagine how it doesn't get released later this summer/fall as a '27 model considering how tidy it currently looks and the fact they are riding it at high noon on the most popular trail network in the Golden. Might need to just post up in the bushes with a camera next time...

5/28/2026 6:51pm Last rumor I remember hearing is that it'll likely get the six-finity platform similar to what's on their e bikes.

5/28/2026 6:51pm I feel like photos of this caliper have floated around on here before, but it's a nice close-up. It's paired with an XTR lever... I am really hoping that new Saint brakes are released this year.

5/26/2026 7:09pm Yep, but I'll wager it's still one of those 'too close' relationships. OneUp started out outside of Pon, Reserve didn't. That little distance may matter to some PMs, but having a uniform cockpit & wheel offering will also bring a bit of pull. Bar tape matching the saddle if you will.

5/26/2026 7:08pm I liken it to Campy:Fulcrum. Campy wants to get more people on their wheels but not many would accept running Shimano/Sram drive with Campy wheels. Enter Fulcrum. The same quality, a diff name, all the freehub options, none of the fashion policing. If Pon wants to get more market share, breaking Reserve wheels out from under the SC banner of products makes a lot of sense. Makes it a lot easier for product mgrs to have a one stop shop when speccing bikes and a cohesive build package.

5/26/2026 7:07pm Sure looks like it. Seems a little weird for PON to be backing this when their existing wheel brand (Reserve) seems to have made huge headway in the in both aftermarket and OE spec in the last few years. Maybe the One Up wheels are supposed to be a more budget oriented product?
