At least in Germany we have this April fools thing as well. (And had it for decades, doesn‘t seem to be an exclusive north american thing imho.)

Sram truly is the apple of cycling, only not as good as apple is in tech. Everyone else makes 203mm/8 inch rotors, but we're going to make 200mm because we can and because we're different. Honestly it's only really an issue because the is mount also died on frames and forks in favor of direct post mount.

Not on the list but I would def recommend EXT suspension. You can find some Storia V3 for relatively cheap and they rip. I have it on my Regulator CX (160mm rear travel) with a 65mm stroke and it's amazing. Can't recommend enough!

No, look at the bridge with the topology optimized arch. Finally a damper that "sits higher in the travel", never heard of that before. Probably should end up at full lockout with how many times the iterations sat higher in the travel than the ones before

You’re treating wheel size in a vacuum and ignoring the physics of scaling an entire bike around a tall rider. Yes, shorter riders might miss out on some of the theoretical roll over benefits of larger wheels. But tall riders pay elsewhere: longer wheelbases, slower handling, compromised front-center to chainstay balance, and a higher center of mass. Those are all very real practical disadvantages. If we already accept that reach, and stack should scale to the rider, why should wheel size be the one dimension frozen in place? Proportional wheel sizing makes sense because wheel size is part of the...

This is what companies want. You need a new bike bag, a higher price train ticket, a new car, and a new house for your new 32” bike. The Consumerism dream.

How big of a disadvantage is being taller on the air resistance front? And how much of an advantage being smaller brings here? If we're banning wheel sizes, why not also ban frame sizes?

Considering that we've got the Marz Shiver, the Manitou Dorado, and the Rockshox RS-1, the statement is completely stupid whatever way you want to swing it.

Dario is the man…? Beyond this meme I made, he is also pretty detached from real world consumers. I’ve heard he typically says something is “cheap” or very “competitively priced” during their podcast. When another host asks him how much it is - he doesn’t know. 🤨

your currency is not much worth anymore, it lost like 25% in just 4 years against the swiss franc, what do you people expect things to cost when you import everything and the fascist king wants his cut on top?

I thought the point of a derailleur hanger was a mechanical fuse and replacing it with an overbuilt alternative defeats that purpose. If the UDH is fragile that's by design.

I’m not attempting to be a hater, but I think the “move out of the way” thing is a moot point when it comes to DH drivetrains. There are merits to the overall size of transmission and its ability to move out of the way, but I think it’s a problem that doesn’t exist with super short cage DH setups. SRAM has every right to sell AXYS DH transmission but unless you’re independently wealthy and just like expensive shit there’s zero reason to buy it. And props to those guys that do I guess? They are pumping money into the...
