Imagine choosing a standard that results in a heavier and weaker handlebar... 🤦 35mm handlebars are stronger and lighter than 31.8 for the same stiffness. The first 35mm bars in like 2012 may have been overly stiff but minus a couple of outliers that hasn't been the case for the better part of a decade now.

Does anyone want electronic gears on their dh bike? I feel like this is just sram repackaging existing components for the sake of streamlining production. Basically cost savings being fed to us as innovation without any real world benefits to the rider.

But it’s not really that fair to compare XT vs maven (or other big ones) anyway, XT is basically a trail brake and maven is full on gravity. Lets see what they are doing with that new Saint model when it comes, my guess is that pistons are bigger but not maven size.

Yea don’t know about that. It’s been said by others in the last few pages as well. For a guy that’s never won, bounced around a ton and rides a unique setup he gets more love than most. Maybe it’s the American connect. Look I’m a big fan of Dak…but vital crowd seems to really skew towards him is all I’m saying.
