7/17/2026 1:45pm While TQ might bail on MTB's (no evidence of this what so ever but you never know) they are a $500m company with 2000+ employees that's pretty well diversified across multiple industries. Doubt the company itself is going away. Rumor is that they have a more powerful version of the HPR60 coming as well that should compete with the full power brands. If they keep the same or similar form factor, power delivery, and quiet operation as the current product it should be pretty compelling. I've ridden the current HPR60 a bunch and it's really a great motor at 350+...

7/16/2026 11:04am Chris Coccalis (sp?) said he demoed a gen1 Amflow and said that frankly it was a terrible bike that flexed with poor rear suspension performance. Sorry, but I don't think even the M2s is up to the standard of the Bosch in silence or feature set, certainly not in weight balance with its high mounted battery. On the forums you'd think the Avinox is the only motor in existence, but when you talk to experienced riders, they are much less impressed. One thing is certain; people care about looks and power above all else. The less hard to define characteristics...

7/16/2026 8:02am I don't really buy that theory. Looking at the last few seasons, this feels more like a natural progression than Loïc not being there. Finn Iles 2024: Already one of the fastest riders in the field. Multiple podiums and only 0.169s off the World Championship win. 2025: Injury/concussion issues meant he never found his rhythm and openly talked about it 2026: Looks more like a return to form than a breakthrough. Jordan Williams 2023: Won an Elite World Cup in his rookie season, proving the speed was already there. Had a hard time to find his rhythm and speed in...

7/13/2026 9:50pm In principle, yes. I'm not sure if they left sufficient room to have sufficient gear range in the casting, and you'd need a way to determine which of the spun the final drive. Unfortunately, it would spin both chains all the time, but perhaps the loss in an unpowered chain would be small.

7/12/2026 7:16am Or maybe people are reacting to your lack of respect for their time. You’ve added a signature to every one of your posts advertising your AI coded product in a forum where almost no one uses a signature so it’s basically spam. When you asked a technical question and were given resources that answered your question in great detail written by an industry subject matter expert you used AI to read it for you and it gave you a wrong answer which others had to correct. People are putting time into knowledge sharing and you’re here just slop-posting which is...

7/11/2026 8:47am Didn’t call you dumb, but “reading” with AI and completely missing the point of the whole link is in fact dumb, nothing I can do about it, in the post linked there are recommendations, coming to your own conclusions and ending your post with “ehehe” like you’re the clever one or something just makes the posts insufferable, like the link at the end of every single post, we got it.

7/9/2026 5:24pm All that pivot shadow at on sale shows is how ridiculous pivots prices are. That bike is priced at 4 grand. That’s a 40% discount. And it has base suspension, base brakes, eagle 90/70 parts. I don’t care how good the “frame quality” is. The MSRP is borderline criminal imo.

7/7/2026 9:36pm Let me say more clearly what was implied in my previous post: those old road bike rolling resistance tests tell me that our own internal rolling resistance gauges in our brains are not very trustworthy. I'm not convinced that radial tires roll slower because the only evidence we have is that they feel like they roll slower. 21mm tires pumped up to 120 psi feel fast as hell on asphalt. As you go faster, you get more and more vibration feedback from the tire, giving the sensation of greater and greater speed. A 32mm tubeless GP5000 pumped up to 60...

7/6/2026 12:12pm Two words in the title of this thread make everything relevant and on-topic. Tech and innovation. If there was strictly a “tech rumors” thread, it would inevitably discuss the technology that a product is competing against or replacing. There’s really no way around it. If you aren’t going to discuss the relevance of a new product or innovation, then what’s the point? As far as Ebike derailments go, the separate thread is nice. But you have to argue that 90% of the tech and innovation in MTB right now is because of Ebike market dynamics.

6/30/2026 9:45pm It's not the bearing. It's the chain wrapping onto and off a sprocket. With a small idler, the angle each link has to rotate is very large. And it's happening in the taught part of the chain unlike the rear derailleur. But I've explained everything in my original long post. Now this debate, besides being offtopic, has serious vibes of trying to explain things to @seanfisseli, so much so I was convinced @Trocko might be an alterego. Looks like I was wrong about that one 🙂
