I'll disagree, having both now I don't see a use case where I'd pick the Albert over the Romy ever. The Romy is just a better tire everywhere. I don't think the Albert needs to exist anymore.

I mean it cornered fine, but I preferred the agility I get from 29ers, hence why I'd be intrigued to try a half way house. I'm a same wheel both ends kind of guy; I've tried mullets on various bikes and I do like and see the benefits for some riders, but for the riding I do, I prefer full 29er as it is. As I said, a downcountry type with 30.5" wheels would pique my interest. Get some of the benefits of the 32" in a more agile package. Equally, I'd be happy staying full 29 as is.

Has anyone done proper timed run testing for enduro racing? Curious if there's a noticeable difference between Schwalbe Gravity Pro, Maxxis DH/DD & Conti DH offerings. Maxxis new DH are getting heavy for enduro... Conti DH are lighter but stiff. Schwalbe Gravity Radial seem to offer more grip/compliance at the cost of rolling speed and support. Curious if anyone has been going back to back and what they found.

Is pivot pretty generous with support? Can confirm those DH frames are seemingly everywhere in large #’s. Pivot is pretty gnarly with their pricing so I’m thinking there has to be something going on.

My anecdotal experience; the Renthal Fatbar 35 is far worse on my hands than the old 31.8, the OneUp V2 or the old Spank 31.8 vibrocore. The Renthal is easy to sell though. I wish OneUp did a 760mm wide 50mm rise in carbon.

Not to beat the new Saint 12sp chain dead horse but I think we saw not one but two possibly career ending crashes at Whistler because of chains snapping. Both on SRAM, which uses the T-type 12 speed chain I think? Why are we not using the beefiest chain possible for 7 or 8 speed drivetrains?

Completely disagree. I was absolutely gutted that Finn and Jackson didn't make it through, but it's just a testament that the level of riding and competition is absolutely crazy these days (particularly on the men's side). Like, on any given weekend, anyone in the top 20 could be on the podium. This has been one of the most exciting seasons in memory, BECAUSE there aren't any guarantees or sure bets.
