XO is way beyond XT and closer to XTR , GX is more compareable to XT from my experience.

but you can't really compare wireless xtr to transmission, it's more like eagle axs and that was also compatible with existing 12 speed. shimano is 6 years late if we're being honest.

I'm a little surprised at the cost of the new Shimano drivetrain. I would consider it to replace my XO1 AXS shifter and derailleur (and move that to another bike) that I've been running with an XT chain and cassette. Almost $1,000 for shifter and derailleur is higher than I was expecting.

So new XTR headlines are: no cables, no clutch and the wandering bite point might be resolved? Am the only one who was hoping for some more tangible upgrades?

I am aswell, we still have gx AXS kits available. Same tech, similar speed and a no clutch proper clutch setup BUT Quite a bit cheaper, Currently you can Get GX axs for half the price of the XTR kit - whats the benefit of XTR? I Feel they've gone for the "LOOK we have fast shifting" even though Sram had the same kinda thing 5 years ago. I really like shimano drivetrains(other than the derailleurs breaking at the first blade of grass they hit) I was expecting good things from shimano for their new Wireless drivetrain and new Brakes...

Just want to throw praise Finn Iles way after his brillliant response to Wyns questions regarding the WBD broadcast on the wyntv Leogang track walk Video. I personally think Wyn has too much of a negative take generally regarding World Cup racing these days and it shows in his questions - Finns thoughtful response with suggestions to improve the current package without tearing anyone to shreds was great.

Sounds like this motor is more efficient, the range numbers are beating most full size batteries.

And for this reason why Troy often runs a 220mm rotor in the rear but a normal 200mm up front. Rear brake is consistently "on" far more than the front.

Bashing gates with elbows, hands, cranks and pedals is all a part of slalom. If you aint making contact with the gates you aint doing it right.
