5/23/2025 10:23am There are most definitely more issues. There is a change in LAW and regulation moving forward of the EU using Eitas system more accurately tracking visitors days. (no more hoping the border agent gives up counting all your days with the multitude of entry/exit stamps in your passport. There is a change with having more World Cups in this calendar...

The courses were not finished being completely taped yet... We also use the recce to identify potential course cuts that need to be taped. Im kind of the guinea pig. Im programmed to take the shortest quickest path.

Just wondering whats happened to the slideshows? We were of course spoilt to have such good coverage the last few years. Last year we lost EWS slideshows and I barely followed the series. Luckily for DH we have videos and live stream. Has the industry evolved and photogs are making money elsewhere? Fair enough if so.

I know this is kind of off-topic, but wanted again to share the appreciation for the vital slideshow. You inspired me (a proper millennial with short attention span) to re-think the way I consume content, and provided a level of depth and quality of both images and interviews that I will really miss. Thanks to the whole team for the amazing stuff, Littermag/Vital remains a sanctuary.

I would agree w/ this. One of my all time favorite vital content pieces were the slideshows. IMO the EWS was arguably better than the DH. Loved having Sven in the guys do the voiceovers. Sad day...I guess you can't argue w/ poor viewership. Ugh.

2/23/2022 2:20am Couple of thoughts.. indirectly related to this thread. The problem we face is one of worry. Worry over the uncertainty of the quality of product and production of the live feed. How it showcases our sport to both us, the core audience and to the larger outside world. That is the fundamental issue. We shouldn't have to worry about it...

Yep it’s off. Reason it’s an Ebike is twofold - they are a big big team many riders and staff, so the ebike got the nod over a trail bike. Good for recovery and discovery and getting to the pits. Their training is quite regimented so it’s not like they need to go on long xc rides between races. Plenty of fun trails around The venue to have fun on without tiring themselves out
