I’m shocked anyone is trying to justify 5Devs actions. They knew they had faulty shit cranks on the market and continued selling anyway. I see exactly where Cam is coming from. 5Dev made excuses from the get go. Pretty scary those guys produce aerospace products. I will be sure to NEVER recommend let alone purchase anything these guys put out.

I think the issue is that 5DEV seemed aware of the likelihood of failure and didn't do anything about it, putting Cam in danger by their own inaction. That's especially bad (unfairly or no) for a small company, where the rider has more pride in using their parts than a standard piece of kit. And once you learn that the company knew they had a bad batch of parts and did nothing, what faith can you have in them offering a warranty part? While Cam definitely came in spicy, I'd rather have liked to see 5DEV respond by talking about...

Call me a hippy, but that new course tape seems reusable instead using two rows of single use plastic all the way down the track.
