Two great interviews over on NSMB with a couple of long time Whistler Bike Park staff about the process of getting the Whistler World Cup, and getting the course built. Hot take after consuming all of the US open stuff. They need a vet pro class at all of the races. Make it an exhibition or just for fun. With so many of the legends hanging out / managing teams, I just want to see Sam rip corners and Peaty power wheelie out of every berm. Talk about driving engagement.

I've ridden a ton of different bikes and can't say I've ever noticed anti-rise. Not saying it's not a real thing, but it's never been the difference that stands out to me on a bike. I'd love to do a back to back test that isolated AR so I could discern what it feels like. A floating brake arm like Martin's would be perfect for testing this, if I had an extra genie wish to burn. Can I ask you a question? It sounds like you said you've only been riding bikes with higher AR, but I must be misunderstanding...

I think the small/sleek looks of the Avinox motor and battery are way overlooked by us in forums and the media because of the power numbers. There’s some seriously good looking Avinox bikes out there and sitting them next to Spesh and Bosch bikes makes those bikes just look old. Full power but looks like a light eeb/analog bike is where Spesh needs to go in order to be able to charge their astronomical prices again.

At what point are we going to discuss that proffesionalisation of the sport could also mean shifting schedules to avoid having to carry your bike because the wheels don't turn any more? And why doesn't get Millie a rerun, as she is blocked at the trickiest turn of the course by a crashed rider in the main line?

I'm not actually 100% sure of what I witnessed today. This was by far the most unhinged thing I've ever seen involving bikes. Conditions, weather, riding, fans, etc... all completely unhinged.

UCI killed enduro as if they were private equity firm. The EWS was sick in its early years up until 2022. The highlight videos and race venues 2016ish-2022 were fantastic. UCI turned it into the European bike park series so they could attempt to televise/stream it, assuming because they could generate revenue that way.
