More money more pressure. They already won the overall, sponsors might have had bonus set in place for that, plus going into 2027 I’m sure they could negotiate more. He surrounded by people that believe in him, good mechanic…. why go to another team, it’s not always about the Benjamins if what you’ve got already works for you. if it was a option.. where would Asa go? what team would he go to…… specialized? Santacruz? can see him joint a team when his biggest rivals are at. What other team in that pits have a package thats going work better...

I had posted previously that Enve was looking for an XC team, and I had heard they were talking to Cannondale, but I guess things changed. Origine is already with Enve.

Dude. Thank you! You’re set to not accept DMs but I have a fiver for you. Thank you. I know it's not DH, but interesting: Cannondale XC is folding for 2027. Enve has a made-in-USA XC bike almost ready to debut, possibly at Soldier Hollow Utah UCI race. (Enve is based in Utah and owned by Utah cyclists) Cannondale team and staff will transition into the Enve XC team for 2027

So maybe Markus Flossman can promise more money than Neko Mullaly. But you better take that check straight to the bank and cash it. I can see no other outcome than regret in 18 months.

I prefer to see this years' oldschool DS to be honest.. Start with a grass track and let the tires cut in the lines. I'd rather see pros get loose and highlight cornering skills on some grass jank than deathgrip a groomed bike park berm for the hundredth time. More in the spirit of the discipline.

I think I recall Neko at some point saying that he brought Angel on board because he felt that Angel is a rider that can give good feedback as far as development of the bike.

Sadly I agree. I think just that Neko likes him, and sees potential, but fading to me. I cannot see a way forward for Pivot and therefore BK. I mean how can Pivot look at 25 and write a check for 26?

Just ride it. Save every penny that was earmarked for an upgrade, and use it get a new bike when you have 1500 to 2500 USD. Then don't upgrade that bike either, and save until 5-6000. BTDT, all of us.
