Reece is a savvy operator and I cannot believe for one minute he set-up AON on 1 year deals. Their biggest problem is a lack of points with Hatty and Reece missing races due to injury. They are outside the top 15 and fighting for those wildcard slots for next season.

No benefit at all, but it does buy you some breathing space if your team has issues with injuries, crashes etc. If you were say 13th-15th, and have a bad run of not scoring, you are suddenly looking iffy. They just get an XC race bike on the market, my guess will be that an XCO team will race on Yeti bike. Maybe it will not be a full factory team.

Looks exactly (on the surface at least) like the black version Simmonds was testing/developing. Even has the 2 mount points for the second shock. Josh was asked about the bike, and he said it's the prototype and is an XL. Also said it's long and low. Wonder if it's the same bike with a cool paint job. Or a tweaked...

Austin has/does coach a number of top XC riders, so an 'easy' option in that Kate isn't taking a big risk. Changing coaches is always a step into the unknown, so going with someone who coaches others at a top level is an easier call than going with someone who doesn't. Will be interesting to see how she goes in...
