If you have a large amount of rearward axle movement, the initial length needs to be pretty short. Pivot Phoenix starts at 443 and grows to 465. It sits around 460 at 30% sag. Would have been nice to see Canyon publish something similar.

I'm not sure I'd agree that that is a hard and fast rule like you're saying. Either way 435 is very short no matter where in the travel. FW for example is 460 on a L, and the v10's ranges from 450-460.

I noticed some silver Crankbros wheels popping up, first in Brian Cahal's video on the new Ari Ebike, now on Commencal's Instagram. Hopefully these are releasing soon. Silver rims absolutely need to come back!

We’re not allowed to call them chainstays anymore . We must refer to them as (part of) the rear centre… or face forum judgement.

It looks like they borrowed the guts from a Shimano pedal to make this prototype. The markings on the spring adjustment look identical to a PD-M8000

The pedals are from Fraezen, another german brand. Intend does have some pedals in development, similar to the OutlierMTB ones. I posted about it a few weeks back in this thread:

Fastest shift in the west is still the ol' trusty 11 Speed XT. Double gear downshift, crispy leaver feel, textured lever and can bend it pretty hard before it starts to shift poorly (unlike eagle or shimano 12 speed, which does good but could be better). I find that Transmission is a 180 stright into oncoming traffic in terms of progress, between the narrow-wide cassette, ridiculously massive derailleur, absurd price tag, and last but not least... probably one of the worse mtb inventions of the past 20 years, the UDH. Before the invention of UDH's, hangers were a lot smaller...

TEAMROBOT Liked a product review The Black Sheep: SRAM's DB8 Brake Long-Term Review

5/3/2025 6:10am
In the spring of 2022, SRAM quietly released the DB8, their first-ever mineral oil brake, after decades of using DOT fluid exclusively. Initially sold as an OE-only product, the DB8 was featured on price-conscious builds as a cheaper alternative to their go-to gravity brake at the time, the DOT 5.1-powered Code. Three years later, SRAM's entire brake lineup has moved over to mineral oil, with the addition of Maven and the recently released Motive. The DB8 holds an odd space in SRAM's lineup. It takes over the middle-of-the-range spot from the outgoing Code and, according to SRAM, delivers "Code-like...

First round of the ewsdr or whatever they are callling it this year next weekend and the course map has been released. Around 100km and 3100m of climbing over 2 days so looks like they are going back to bigger days out again.

One of my favourite things about this thread is the the mix of people commenting. One one hand people who seem to have behind the scenes knowledge vaguely referring to things they know to be true but can't say, and people with no idea of the actual details confidently stating things they have no direct knowledge of. This is what keeps me coming back. Keep it coming

Rob warners latest video of a factory visit to hope In the last part of the vid he shoves his camera close to the back of the bike, and then says "oops lets not zoom in too much" Not sure if he hints at the brake or the derailleur, is that the new saint derailleur or another brand? Also, the brakes "GB4" not a brake currently in Hopes lineup afaik, so is that possibly the new name for the ones spotted earlier in this thread? The ones with a bleed port in the lever?
