10/28/2024 4:57pm Are these "worn out in less than 200 miles" XTR cassettes in the room with us right now? They can creak, especially he earliest ones, but I've put thousands of miles on these and don't find they wear differently than any other cassette.

10/24/2024 1:55pm Working for FSA I can 100% confirm that there is NO room in a ZS 56 HT to run a reach adjust for tapered. some for straight. The bigger issue for most users is getting the cups in straight (yes this really is an end user/shop issue that has to be heavily considered having dealt with other systems). The better option is the RAS reach adjust. Luckily MTB companies I think want to go away from internal routing, so more open to this option. We are trying....

10/23/2024 7:50pm I really dislike that 95% of size L's have a 475mm Reach and XLs have a 500m reach. The bikes need to offer 10mm of reach adjust for those of us in between. That said, the new Sentinel looks like an ideal AM rig to my eyes.

10/22/2024 4:05pm There's also this in the regular bike catalog. The text which has had a filter applied, when copied, spits out this: R.DERAILL. Shimano XTR Di2 M9250-12 GS shadow+ SHIFTLEV. Shimano XTR Di2 M9250 CRANKSET Shimano XTR M9200-12 Carbon 32T BOTTOM BR. Shimano MT900 pressfit PA29 MTB SPROCKET Shimano XTR M9200-12 / 9-45 CHAIN Shimano M9100-12 So that's Shimano's first(?) carbon cranks confirmed? And the brake name is in full view, the new protos we've seen aren't saint? M9220 seems it would be the 4 piston variant.

10/22/2024 4:03pm Back to tech rumors! An interesting drivetrain on the KTMs!
Looks like it’s wireless and the derailleur seems very close to the rear triangle…

10/15/2024 7:17pm It's probably not the casting (the lowers) that's the issue, it's the stanchion alignment (the CSU). I've been a bit skeptical the last few years of the trend of home mechanics burnishing and re-sizing their bushings, because in my experience the clearance you want is pretty tight and specific. Seems like a lot of the time users are just hogging them out, which can be just as bad as having tight bushings. And to be clear, there are forks with tight bushings too. But back to the broader subject, yes the pendulum is swinging back to a focus on damping...

10/15/2024 7:01pm I just replaced the Charger 3.0 in my Lyrik with an MRP Lift and it's a lot better. Pretty much bang in the middle on both LSC and R and dropped my spring rate by ~10%. The fork tracks better, rides high in it's travel and feel much better through my hands.

10/14/2024 9:59pm Exactly, it's pretty cringey that a bunch of grown-ass men are dragging this kid on the internet just because an anonymous rumor says his parents are kicking in some cash to give him a chance to chase his dream. The kid obviously has some talent and happens to have parents with higher than average means. How is this different than sending your kid to an elite ski academy? Reece on Gamux is exciting - gonna get that $100k!

10/14/2024 9:07pm I miss my red Imperial. It was a product of it's time. Evil heavily implied the latest blowout pricing wasn't a going out of business event, it was a clearing inventory for new models event. There was also a rumor of them testing some 'different' looking bikes about a year ago, so seems likely they'll have something more than a refresh to share. The last few generations have been pretty incremental improvements on a theme that is somewhat dated. A longer rear end, steeper seat tube angle, taller stack Offering would be right up my alley. The future of Superboost...
