I’ve got one and it really does need an update IMO. Adjustable geo from the stumpy Evo and an steeper seat tube would be nice. I’m have no idea why the didn’t do this, then go the new design in a year or twos time. And cheaper? Lol, that’s very wishful thinking

Hope is a great company with admirable business practices. Then there's Specialized....they've made some great bikes (I've owned a few), but when it comes to business practices, not so great.

Yeah right! That said Hope actually did this. They calculated an amortized cost for the carbon bike including development time etc but then after a while they realized they had learnt so much from the project that could be applied to other carbon products and help to spread the sunk costs. So they dropped the price by £1000 (iirc) and gave a rebate to all the original customers! This is very Hope-like. In the Uk there was/is a salary sacrifice scheme you can use for buying a bike and save 25-30%. Hope signed up but it was a lot of...

in our interview w/ him earlier this year he made it clear he'd still be involved w/ the team even if not racing at the WC level.

If I remember correctly, in a podcast Greg said that his deal includes after he retires, running the team, developing the bike. I would imagine he wants to have a similar role like Peaty does with Santa Cruz.
