1/20/2026 7:46pm Thank god. I was shopping for bars and stems but just didn’t feel like there were enough options. This might just be the perfect one.

1/16/2026 9:15am The rumor I was told was that every Maven lever is getting a retooling of the “swing link”, since they got so much guff for having a heavy lever feel. If anybody in here has put hands on the latest 13 speed road and gravel stuff, you’ll know Sram can achieve an extremely light lever throw. In other brake rumors, I’ve been told the other S company that makes brakes is ditching Ice Tech, going 2.2mm thick rotors, and abandoning 203mm sizing. Also, that bleed block you’ve been bleeding your 8220 brakes with? It’s wrong. It’s meant for the thicker...

1/16/2026 9:13am Problem with SRAM/RS, is they have a history of excellent innovation that they bring to market too quickly without working out the bugs. I have fond memories of the first gen XX brakes. Ultralight seals and internal bladders that got eaten by DOT fluid. Ultralight mag levers that were so porous you literally had to bleed them every day just to keep enough fluid in the lines. I’d show up to the warehouse in the morning, admire the “DOT dew” on all the lever bodies, and re-bleed 20 bikes. The first vivid airs to hit the market had a seal...

1/16/2026 9:06am Updated Zeb also (technically not DH). Another speculated possibility is upgrade kit for Maven SLV/ULT to install the Base cam system. People have noted that some of the pros had a gold colored cam in their Mavens vs. the red one that comes in the retail.

1/16/2026 9:04am Was watching Sam Pilgrim's new video and noticed during his new bike check that there was something blurred on both wheels. The DT Swiss logo is still visible on the other side of the wheels. Any idea why/what might be blurred?

1/12/2026 7:30pm Hey there Vital friend. Sorry for my bad tone last night. It’s cool of you to say that. I’m a dad, and Greenland’s story is close to my heart, so I overreacted when I wrote my post. This very good little film is why I know about Laurie’s struggles growing up. The Anthill guys made it, and it’s a great watch. ✌🏻

1/12/2026 7:27pm I'm guessing that it's a combination of Trump wanting Greenland (the country) and his recent deed in Venezuela..

1/12/2026 7:25pm Appreciate the kind words 🙏 that genuinely means a lot. We try. We keep trying. And yeah, when I say we, I really do mean me. Still just one bloke doing everything: product, riders, logistics, emails at stupid o’clock, the lot. No staff, no big safety net. Just belief and stubbornness. The industry doesn’t make it easy for small independents. The big dogs have deeper pockets and louder voices, but that was always kind of the point. Do cool shit, build something authentic, and if it ruffles a few feathers along the way, so be it. I’m proud that Viris...

1/12/2026 7:21pm Yeah, same here. Bottom line is, to date, that team is not good enough for Maples. So let's hope they step up the support and professionalism

1/8/2026 8:50am So - maybe a new IBIS Light-EMTB? A full 29" HD7? (Ripmo V3 with longer shock/different rear-end?) A proper light Ripley with a specific SL carbon lay-up or frame? If they redo the HD6 - I´d lover proper head-tube lengths on the XM/L/XL frames with higher stack numbers and a steeper seat tube angle. Also full 29", please. =)

12/22/2025 10:42am Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

12/20/2025 9:23pm Quarter HP just did a revisit on the Titan, and seat post insertion was one of the knocks on a six year old frame.. Considering that 170 was long at that point, that's not bad..

12/10/2025 8:54am When I started this thread years ago (under an old username that I got locked out of... Still bummed about that @sspomer ) I never would have imagined to surpass 100 pages, let alone a thousand! Since I started the thread as a senior in high school, I have gone from a shop rat with too much free time to an industry employee who is bound by NDA's. I've had to keep my mouth and keyboard quiet on a ton of subjects, some of which have been pretty accurate to the ideas tossed around! I hope someday bike companies will...
