Brevard_Bikewrench Added a reply to 120-130mm forks
9/9/2026 10:09am Could not be happier with my 130mm Rockshox Pike Ultimate. (Charger 3.1 damper). I have had the past 2 generations of Pike and this one is a massive step up in performance and ride feel. The Charger 2 damper of the previous gen fork was good, but the chassis was really the draw back. The newest version is incredible! Extremely...

8/12/2026 12:57pm Hi, Me, I did that too! To be fair it was an older shock, but the upper bearing housing (~2019 era DHX2 with the cast upper eyelet) cracked from the inside out where the damper body threaded into it. Noticed a small dab of oil then the next run had oil dripping down the frame. Still a tiny pinhole but...

6/23/2026 9:17am What frame are you riding, and what chainring size? I had this issue on my GG Gnarvanna with a GX/XO eagle setup. ended up sticking some soft sided velcro to the back/ side of the crank to quiet that down. If you can run an ISCG guide like the MRP SXG or roller guide like the MXG then do it...

12/2/2025 9:37pm When I started this thread years ago (under an old username that I got locked out of... Still bummed about that @sspomer ) I never would have imagined to surpass 100 pages, let alone a thousand! Since I started the thread as a senior in high school, I have gone from a shop rat with too much free time to...

So stoked to see this come to life! For most of us, the bike is more than just a tool to ride, but a machine to turn back the clock!

8/12/2025 8:35pm @jeff.brines I DM’d you about it! Can’t have the feds be lurking in the forums waiting to catch the real ones 👀 Awesome idea through and through. Will absolutely use the platform wether it be paid or free. The program would also be great for the individual user wanting to compare their times spreadsheet style for suspension testing, bike setup...

6/26/2025 2:47pm From the first look I could have sworn those stanchions looked smaller than 38mm. My initial theory was that this was a beefed up Lyrik to fit with WBD's push back to all mountain race bikes. I ended up doing some ghetto math in relation to the valve stem in a blown up photo of the fork on Dan's Bronson...

6/12/2025 9:18am Once had a horrendous noise start mid XC-race. would quiet down on the climbs then any time I hit a root or rock garden it sounded like the bike was falling apart under me. I was fully convinced the frame was cracked and I was going to die. Got to the end of the race, stopped, lifted my front end...

@sspomer would it be possible to get a link-checker integrated? "Thanks for your post, the link you are including has been posted 37 times in the last 2 weeks on pages X, Y, Z...., are you sure you want to post it again?"
