Just came here to publicly thank @jeff.brines for his analysis on Fox a few pages back. That post led me to doing some additional research and due diligence, which then led me to execute a sizable Buy order and realizing an 18% gain in very short time. I would have never looked at Fox stock otherwise. Cheers Jeff!

The tech rumours thread's discussion of the upcoming Fuel (E/M/L)X has got me thinking, and seeing as this thread is just industry talk and Jeff lessons now, this seemed like the appropriate place. Can any of you industry lifers think of another time where you could feasibly see three distinct generations of a particular model on the sales floor of a dealer at the same time? I know Trek is typically in a 2-3 model year development-launch cycle with their hotter stuff, but it seems wild I can walk into a dealer and cross-shop the Trek Fuel Ex Gen 5...

YT TLDR; They took on PE at the peak of the bubble, struggles ensued when the good times stopped rolling. Founder guy in the vid probably cashed out (uninformed speculation). Maybe they'll pull a Kona.

Posted on the other site. YT Industries GmbH has initiated a legal restructuring process under German law, entering into self-administration to secure the company's future. - "despite strong global growth and a loyal customer base", it has been "severely impacted by the global discounting battle in the bike industry, problems with suppliers and uncertainty in the US market related to tariff policies." YT Industries said it was "compelled" to enter legal restructuring proceedings under self-administration as the company has "no further funding available under the current structure."

I think every bike brand will do this at least for their non-e-bikes pretty soon. I am honestly still amazed that there as many non-e-bike options as there are right now. In germany 2024 non-motorised MTBs are merely about 3% of total non-e-bikes sold (if you compare it to the actual bike sales (E-Bikes + Non-E-Bikes) which is about 3,9 million bikes its even more evident - 1,3 %). In total numbers thats about 54.000 MTBs (over all makes and MTB types). Thats cargobike terretory - lol Source ZIV Am I the only one thinking this can't be profitable over...

Yes!!!!! Modularity!!!! I actually love this idea, and I love the idea that they have the Slash as a high pivot and Fuel as a low pivot, but both can be set up with similar travel numbers.

Quick rant, does anyone else think Treks new e-bike naming convention sucks. EX-e was fine, easy to search, minimal, clearly differentiated it from the non-ebike versions. Their new naming convention seems to just be putting + after everything. Fuel+, Rail+, Slash+ etc. It doesn't work at all from an SEO perspective, the + ends up getting lost in google and you end up with a bunch of results for outgoing bikes or non-ebike versions when you search it. And Slash-e is way more fun to say than Slash+.

We tested Crankbrothers new Synthesis Enduro Alloy 2.0 wheels that launched today and were super impressed by how stout and durable they were. Our tester Mikey has broken every wheel I've ever seen him ride, and these wheels have made it just about 4 months completely unscathed. Which honestly speaks more to their durability than Commencal/Muc-Off racing with them 😂 They're sold as individual wheels, but complete sets retail for $700 (CB hubs) and $900 (i9 hubs), and the rims carry a lifetime warranty—a first for Crankbrothers on alloy rims. There is also a DH/e-MTB model. https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/wheelsets/crankbrothers/synthesi… Highlights - Reinforced...

Absolutely horrific. Scott will love it. Can't wait for a new steerer standard to solve the issue of the taper getting in the way of the stem.
