Disagree. NYC? That's a big city. You also get the Boston, Philly, Jersey Connecticut, Canada and upstate NY. More people can drive in less than 5 hours to White Face than any other resort in the country. New England Skiing is actually further and gets a ton of traffic. This venue while old and from the 80's will have tons of people if the marketing is there and the infrastructure can handle it. US Open to White Face to MSA is also a very easy travel route for riders and teams. This is a very good destination for many reasons...

Titan is technically 5 years old and is still such an amazing bike you can happily ride it for years to come. But something new has to be cooking, last week they were selling off frames on their US store with something like 50% discount... Looks like they fixed all the non sense Brian Cahal pointed out in his review. Actually quite surprising how terribly designed that bike was knowing it was coming from Cero. This one looks way more dialed!

It'd be good to try and aggregate who is making what and where, but it'd also be a pile of work. I'd also be interested to learn what mid to high end componentry is coming out of China. This will have an impact, but I do breath a lot easier especially considering how much of the bike industry has diversified into Taiwan, Vietnam and elsewhere the last 3-7 years.

This administration is lacking clarity when making announcements, but I'm pretty sure I read that a lowered 10% baseline tariff would still be in place for all countries during the pause. USA-China trade war will be painful for americans if it's not short-lived, China will never back down from this fight and they can actually afford more pain than the USA. Santa Cruz frames & NOBL wheels are two companies exporting from China.

I'm not sure we've really digested what the last week's political actions really means for the US economy let alone the bike market. If this administration can't find an off ramp to the pending trade war + levying crazy high tariffs fast, I predict this will make the COVID hangover look "not so bad" with respect to bankruptcy in our little world. As to who is at risk, it has a lot more to do with the quality of the balance sheet and a lot less to do with the underlying size of the company. What a mess.

It's worth noting that one of the key factors driving many bike industry companies to declare bankruptcy (or take on more debt) was lack of liquidity and cash flow because so much was tied up in inventory. Companies were flush with inventory and it was not selling fast enough to cover their monthly operational costs. Some companies got cash infusions to fill the gap (Scott, rumors of Trek taking Walton $) and others went belly up. In my industry (large commercial construction projects), we've had a few of our subs go under because the bank called on their line of credit. It's not rare for a sub that does 30M a year to be into their line of credit slightly depending on how the year ebbs/flows. You've got that backwards, It is a class 3 ebike with the option to turn on a 20mph speed limiter. That is the only way to logically treat this bike, and it is definitely a bad idea. Be prepared for land managers to not allow any specialized ebikes because of it.
