Really hope it’s a swappable battery with 400 and 600 options. 400 for lunch rides. 600+ range extender for backcountry missions. 2x 600 for self shuttle. Maybe even let bikes be run on range extender only like the Levo SL can. Perfect ebike right there and has the unmatched looks of a TQ motor. It doesn’t seem like Avinox is interested in this type of battery modularity so that’d be a great way to flank them.

This. The industry hates leaks because they’re still trying to sell the old shit to you while they’re making the shops book preorders. I think snow is different in that they probably sell through by summer and so leaks don’t impact sales as much. But leaks are good for riders because we don’t have all the money and deserve to know when we should hold off on ordering a new bike or when we should consider selling the one that’s about to become outdated…

Is that the rule? Are there rules? Because catalog snaps have happened heaps of times in the OG thread. Obviously don’t lose your job - but these are just brands owned by banks / syndicates / second generation founders nepo kids - and we are the 0.01% who care to see this stuff. newschoolers.com has an epic next year gear thread where everyone is sharing catalog snaps and tradeshow samples. I think this audience is hyper niche and most of the stuff on this thread never makes it past this group of weirdos. I’m sure bike brand product managers lurk...

That’s pretty stupid thing to post. I bet a lot of people here have a lot of information on hundreds of bikes that are under embargo, but we’re not dickhead so we don’t just go leaking stuff. This is for people to find stuff out in the wild and post it like if a website messes up by posting a bike early or somebody sees something in the wild or spy shots or whatever not just straight up leaking stuff from your bikeshops account

I put some time in designing some 3D printable bar ends. Went through quite a lot of trial and error but now i'm really happy with how they turned out. Currently being tested by myself and a few local riders. So if you or someone you know owns a 3D printer, and you find it hard to justify 50 dollars for the wolf tooth ones, or you're waiting for them to restock maybe check out https://cults3d.com/:4581834 Total cost for a pair is somewhere about 5ish bucks including my file, filament, bolts and nuts. If you brake them, that's a few...

Depending on where your chain stay length falls you don’t have to change chain length between a step up or down with transmission. T-Type Specs

I think it depends on a few things... I have no doubt that transmission seems a bit more sensitive to tolerances being out of whack then other drivetrains. Regarding theory #1 - Hub tolerance can impact shift quality. I had a cheap wheelset where the dimension from end cap to xd driver body dimension was slightly out of spec to what sram specified and it was a bear to get to shift properly. There was no doubt a run of gx cassette cassettes which had lateral runout issues and also some with 3rd cog narrow wide tooth profile issues. Regarding...

They do. They even make a cam that makes a Shimano shifter compatible with an Eagle cassette for example. You can mix and match a bunch of stuff with the cams they offer. Props to them on that front.

I'm dealing with the dreaded chain not seating/ skipping on the 3rd cog issue on my SO's bike with T90. Shifts great across the range then the ramps on the 3rd cog are too wide or cassette was manufactured out of tolerance spacing. Looking into a cassette warranty now. I find the new T type setup scheme to be more confusing and janky. I never had an issue adjusting a B limit screw or H/L stop. Jamming hex spanner into a slot as a setup datum and hand tensioning the "B limit" while torquing correctly, with EXACTLY the right (proprietary)...

I worked at a Specialized dealer when the Levo came out and we had to remind most customers to actually shift. Most of them would leave it in one of the highest 3 gears and just use the power modes as the "gears" when riding the bike. Steep climb? Just put it in turbo and pedal a sub-20 RPM cadence. Lots of snapped belts and replaced chains. The majority of eBike buyers are nothing like existing mountain bikers
