I know there’s a difference because it’s harder to control with bikes, but why is it such a big deal here when people unlock their hardware? I can drive a car faster than the speed limit, too. It’s the driver’s responsibility to follow the rules. If they don’t, there are penalties—or they lose their insurance coverage. It’s true, though, that...
Anthropic's coding tools did not exist back then, but they do now. These firmware packages will get cracked in no time from this point forward. The more challenging firmware (and hardware logic) to crack will be the bms.

Cheers for making this thread. I think it’s going to get quite old man shouts at clouds, but there we go. I come at this from a slightly different angle, I’m an elected local councillor. As a result I’ve managed to have meetings with a few of the land owners and managers at my local. It’s a complicated picture, 3 public owners, a few private and 2 main land managers who have different goals and incentives. It’s an intensively used bit of land, 2 million people live within 30km of it in a very nature deprived part of a very...

I think DJI is going to be really hard to beat long term. They have such an advantage on application and user interface development that their product is going to seem more refined. Beyond that, the access they have to cutting edge, and less regulated battery production and technology is going to make it much easier for them to push that envelope and create custom cells and bespoke battery solutions. The advantage they have with 3 phase motor design, efficiency and development goes without saying... and that is a huge advantage in this space. I also think you're bang on...

New SC Tallboy dropping May 19. 4bar, more travel, lighter. Seems like to align with 5010.

Microspine drivers are a blight against humanity and should die in a fire along with the stupid plastic spacer they require to prevent Shimano cassettes from creaking like a haunted house. The only thing that might be worse than the microspine interface and its woefully anemic, made of cheese, lock ring might be the actual cassettes themselves which in the year of our lord 2026 still are half singe piece pinned garbage that falls apart and half stamped metal plates with spacers. Seriously, 12 speed shimano stuff is the most disappointing experience I've ever had with a drivetrain. I hate...

Re: new saint. 12spd long cage saint would be super rad, especially if xt&xtr mechanical moves to dual spring instead of a clutch. But I need to get assurance if I’m retarded or not; it’s been mentioned now that this theoretical 12spd saint would retain a clutch for those who are “not concerned about efficiency.” What in the hell does a clutch have to do with drivetrain efficiency? Besides slightly affecting suspension feel, more so if your bike has a lot of chain growth, how would a clutch vs dual spring have any effect on the what the bike feels...

Real interesting review on the Die Bremses. I would just skip to the performance section of the video. Claims they've got a lighter lever pull than Dominions with more power than Mavens and Hope V4s.

I imagine it'll integrate with Flight Attendant. If so, you'll be able to define the different degrees of float based on what Flight Attendant is determining you're doing at the time. Climbing? 3º. Descending? 16º. Want something else? Tweak it in the app. That's probably more difficult to pull off than I think...but I bet they're working on it!

Exactly. The XL is a 29er but he wants to run a Mullet. He talked about it in the german mtb-news bike checks

as some already clarified, it‘s a conversion for a 27,5 rear wheel, not 29. andi is running a xl v10 and that comes stock full 29, that‘s why they need these special dropouts to run 27,5 on the stock rear triangle. edit: others were quicker replying Smile

Without any kind of fast charging available the Bosch SX system paired with the 400wh is not making any possible sense, just go CX / 600wh and detune to get better range at this point. TQ HPR60 with the 580wh is ahead of the whole SL segment, we need more bikes with this system.

I think it's a modification to be able to run a 27,5 wheel in a 29er rear triangle. As the wheel is smaller, the axle needs to be lower to keep the geometry of the bike. Thus this thingamadood to lower the axle position. I guess it's two aluminium blocks anchored in the (elongated on the V10) dropout hole to prevent rotation and bolted together as much as possible.

Can somebody explain this in more detail? I would love to use something similar on my Unno Mith. The two upper bolts go through the normal hole in the frame dropout and the lower ones clamp the whole thing togheter? The left upper one (drive side) looks to be to far backwards to go throught the hole in the droput...

Pick a chainring size and be a dick about it? Honestly who cares. Kind of reminds me of skiing, where if you don’t ski on 130 flex boots you’re a lil bish. I have a commute and regular guy job and live kinda far from trails. I don’t have as much free time as others to be an ascent monster. Let me enjoy my 30t ring. Don’t yuck my yum yo!!
