The high and low settings are adjusted with flip chips at the link/seat stay junction. There are also flip chips on the chain stay that allow for a long/short chain stay adjustment as well. We spec the bikes how we would want to ride them, given the price targets. They come with bigger suspension (Zeb vs lyrik on the high end), 800wh battery vs 600wh battery, in some cases 220mm rotors for more stoping power, heavy duty DH casing tires on the rear and DD on the front, heavy duty e-bike wheels that will hold up. I can add a bit more being on the design team for this bike. We can do a better job at calling out the "why" in the short press release. What is the relevance of having a ”vertical shock”? Why does it matter? At some point I have heard a newbie say that he is looking for a bike and he had found a Santa Cruz, but he didn't like it because it has no ”vertical shock”. Trek 980 Modular Battery System, 330wh 1p battery + 650wh 2p battery What does this mean? Both can be fitted inside the downtube? Also, where is the ecvt from avinox and the semi solid state batteries? We all know that all these are totally ready productionwise but they have to keep making money so they serve us the already finalized tech in future time segments. It really gets boring though, when the tech is already shown. At least keep it behind the curtains.
