When will we have sub 22kg big battery full power enduro emtbs? I guess it relies on the battery savings mostly. Almost nothing gets close even to the 23kg mark either, except for the teewing flux and mondraker zendit. Saw the new forbidden, it reaches 24 kg with pedals and 800 battery.

"Almost" the same effect i wrote. And i marked that it applies only for downhill rear suspension performance, not overall bike performance. Get a bike with 22kg weight and plow through some roots, then get 4 kg fatter (being in normal bmi) and ride the same bike (rear suspension correctly set) just 4kg lighter. Doubt you would tell a difference...

Battery and motor weight have almost the same effect on downhill rear suspension performance as rider body weight. All of the aforementioned are sprung weight. What you describe seems to be associated with the leverage curve and maybe the tune of the shock. All in all, it's great to have a bike that feels that good! Smile

Good intentions here, but how is that even possible? A 150mm 22.5 kg ebike that has better rear suspension performance compared to 40-50 bikes? Either most of the other bikes were not set properly suspensionwise or all of the 50 bikes were >4kg lighter, so maybe the extra weight gives better rear suspension performance (i wouldn't say so, because then...

Thanks, anyone of these that has rear travel >160mm -> 170-200mm ? And which ones are with 160mm rear travel? PS. velduro rogue you mean? Forbidden will launch the electric version of dreadnought? If so, do we know how much the rear travel will be?

Hallo guys and happy holidays! Has anyone experience in these 2, so as to be able to compare them? - Ion Arcon LT - Alpinestars A-Impact Plasma Elite Shield I would like the best breathability in relation with comfort/safety. Both level 2, but the hard cap of the alpinestars makes it burlier! Don't know how much it affects breathability and...

Do you have the vivid r2c? I just don't want to have a wallowy soft feel, since the 267x89 vivid r2c is configured as low compression tune and also it hasn't any hsc damping. Do you reckon i would be ok with a 300 or should i get a 275? (supple ride with support and not harsh) PS. the RS-VIVC-R2C-B3...

Thanks guys! The tues is the first changed frame in 2012. Yt told me that they don't have don't have specific baseline recommendations for bikes from that era... I think i'll go for a 325, hope it's not that stiff.

freeriding Started a new thread spring rate - YT tues

Hallo, i will install a new rockshox vivid r2c coil shock on my YT tues. 267X89 ( 10.5x3.5). What spring rate do you suggest? I am about 80-82kg race ready (175-180lbs). Tftuned calculator suggests a 265 spring rate, which seems really low, even for a 267x89 shock. The suspension lab indicates a 330.

Don't see the reasoning. If you put a fully stiff spring in this specialized system (no compression possible), when the wheel is forced to move upward won't it rotate through the lower seatstay pivot, resulting in the movement of the seatstay only?

Obviously the system works. What i am missing is the question, from an engineering's point of view. If you take a classic horst link and remove the shock, put the bike on a stand and apply upward force with your hands on the wheel, then the seatstay will rotate in the lower seatstay pivot (in a certain extent), without chainstay...

What i don't understand in the design is that when an upward force is applied, then the seatstay will rotate in the lower pivot and of course it will also rotate in the higher pivot WITHOUT any resistance -> without the shock being compressed. In other words, the seatstay with the upper link can move freely (to a certain extent)...

Hallo mate! I see that you have sram guide brakes. I want to change my brakes (codes) and I'll get either 2017 guide rsc (with S4 caliper) or hope v4. Do you have a long time the brakes? Are you satisfied? Any problems? Would you buy guides or v4? Cheers!
