8/28/2024 10:50am We are one hubs look like they’re on the way. Reminds me of the old 90s Nukeproof hubs with the carbon shell.

8/22/2024 8:33pm Define elite. If a privateer qualifies to race in the elite category doesn't that make them an elite rider? If they get down the track faster than someone with a factory ride haven't they earned the right to race? There are numerous team riders that rarely qualify for finals.

8/21/2024 4:36am I think you just figured it all out! Those buttons on Loic's bike spray water against the shock to cool it down, just like the intercooler sprayer on an old WRX STI. Brilliant!

8/14/2024 9:29pm The constant whinging that tech rumours is getting derailed is kind of annoying and derailing in itself. In my opinion its OK to discuss the tech rumour or current happenings for at least a page or two, and then they generally dissipate or move to other threads. If a legitimate large rumour or release happens it naturally takes over the thread anyway, they're discussing damping and leverage because there isn't a lot happening right now. Plus, Primoz, Teamrobot and Cascade make up some of the best and most knowledge members and are creating a valid discussion. For better or worse...

8/10/2024 9:38am The team thing is a bit concerning, wildcard entry wreaks of greasy politics over who gets in. I like the qualifying idea with no protected riders. You have to put down a run at some point to make it. Also like the kit thing, too many press releases and instagramming a new kit colourway every single weekend of racing. Pick a kit and stick with it. The Continental series is needed. Every successful sport has a feeder system. I am sure it won't be anywhere near perfect off the start, but it needs a formalized start. I wonder how that...

8/5/2024 9:51am It's heart-breaking to have to post news like this. Scott Huntley is the rider who passed away at National DH Champs yesterday. Eastern States Cup and many others have so many great things to say about Scott. He sure looked like a shredder and all-around great human. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends as we all mourn the loss of Scott. It's a sad, sad day for our community. Ride in Peace, Scott.

7/24/2024 9:55am I'm stoked for actual innovation that's useful, but it seems like we're getting stuff getting pushed out because company's can only add 6% better (enter advantage here) for so long before they have to give into gimmicks that don't have a huge advantage over the older stuff but the tech changes so it must be better? I know they need new product to see more stuff, but is it actually better? Questionable, but it is more expensive and makes you need a new frame and 300$ chain.

7/16/2024 10:30am The Ripley of yesteryear is officially dead. No longer a light XC bike that could shred trails with 120mm. Now a 130mm bike that's pretty heavy and is actually the exact same frame as the Ripmo (just different clevis and shock between the two frames). This plus weird geo changes... Ibis trying to stay afloat/be profitable by selling two bikes with the same frame--just swapping a part and shock.

7/16/2024 8:43am I'm on team long CS, and I ride mostly tighter, flatter, natural trails. The traction and confidence boost give me, as a 'fast dad' level rider, much more opportunity to push a bike hard through corners and force it through than rely on a bit less wheel base to negotiate a turn. New Ibis geometry is strange - I think we're seeing some fall out from designing one front triangle for multiple bikes. I never wanted a GG for exactly that reason, as much as I loved other aspects of those bikes.

7/13/2024 3:51pm There is still a yoke used, just much shorter. The upper link is moved in front of the seat tube like on the HD6. I’d guess 1/2-1/3rd the total length of the older models.
