During the Women’s Race I thought surely someone with a walkie and a microfiber would be sent to destroy the Commencal Cock Medallion.

Personally I find Dakotah a heck of a lot easier to relate to than someone like Jackson. Just a hard working dude from a similar part of the same country as me, also with questionable hair styles, that has overcome some adversity and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty at home. Nothing against Jackson, but his story is so far out of my realm that its just... not very interesting.

His contributions to the B-Practice podcast are probably a big reason that Vital favors him (Just like people here love Jesse M. because he actually posts in the forum periodically). It makes them feel like they're "one of your own." Shocking... do good PR things that expand your audience and let people get to know you... and you increase your fan base and marketability. I think people really appreciate his perspective, combined with Tanner and Jason, on the races and racing in general. It's one of the more interesting podcasts to me. On top of that, his journey over the...

Hour and a half start to where they are at. I have to straighten out some brush strokeage and add decals and 2-3 coats of ceramic sauce.

SRAM NX Eagle cranks were dipped in a sodium hydroxide solution with hot water for about two minutes, followed by extensive machine sanding and hand polishing, and finished with a final coat of wax. Use caution when working with sodium hydroxide, as it produces heavy bubbling and hazardous fumes.

I polished the seat clamp, axle, brake hose ends, and crank arms on my first Ripmo. I used a bench grinder with a well worn stainless steel wire brush wheel to mechanically strip the black ano from the parts. Time over pressure. Deep scratches greatly increase polishing effort. Built shine from there with varying grades of both scotch brite and...

Not tech rumors, but soil tech history! The difference between Oregon, WA and BC is all about ice. Kilometer+ thick ice sheets created glacial terrain features and exposed more bedrock from Washington State north. Oregon didn't get the sweet, sweet ice sheet remodeling. The maximum extent of the Puget Lobe of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet was Tenino, which is between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. In the Seattle area you have a lot of glacial till soils that the ice pushed around. Further north the ice scraped away soils and smoothed the bedrock, making terrain for amazing tech riding. This...

Regarding this 'too many bearings' thing I'm imagining those infomercials where the actor over dramatically struggles with something and loses conttol but its bearings and they go flying all over the place.

What if we chopped the injured riders into dog food during the season, to help cover expenses for the series? Or if we required donations of sperm and eggs from riders, which could be sold off to the highest bidder? Another idea: We could ask the riders to choose one of their parents, and if they don't make the cut for finals at least once during the season, we feed that selected parent to a pack of starving dogs. My main concern here is how we can make this race series more profitable. I believe we can do it, as...

My two cents. I like watching “second tier” riders right along side the pointy end dudes. Especially when you get to see a rider develop over a few seasons. The rider that starts to qualify more regularly, then becomes a top 15-20 dude, then top 10, and finally a podium threat. I like to see this on the same courses as Loic and Jackson, it gives me scale. I love WC racing, I pay to watch. I am not going to suddenly start paying close attention to IXS Cups. I’ll look at the results of a Monster Energy Series race...

I root for Dak more than anyone in the field. Not because he is American. I like his story. Getting into the sport later in life. Grinding as a privateer. Coming from a humble background and a part of the world far from any DH trails. And then, sort of like Benoit, just improving year after year to the point that he was one slippery turn from winning the rainbow stripes. Now after a massive injury he got back to 4th place on 1.5 legs. Insane. I like his style too, sneaky smooth and smart racecraft. At MSA I thought...
