yes I bought the bike with all those parts. The Mr dirt fork does work quite well. Its in great shape for its age. Waiting on a few parts to refresh the bike (seat post, saddle, tires). Thank you!

Impressive! Did you score the whole bike with that build? Thats an awesome find! The Mr Dirt forks looked sweet, I never got to open one up but they supposedly worked really well

Ordered the selle italia flite for it a few days ago. I have the original sdg big boy saddle but its all bent and twisted. Can always swap it back on if need be.

Thank you for sharing all this information about the frames. Intense wasnt able to date the frame for me and the serial number didnt tell me much. Correct me if I am wrong but the badge around the head tube also appeared to have changed a few times going off a few pictures I saw around google. The Mr Dirt fork still feels really good and is super plush. Its not leaking or anything thank fully. Stanchions dont have a scratch on them. Please keep me updated if you find any documentation on them. This is probably the most interesting...

I had the same bike but with blue paint, also with a Mr. Dirt fork, MRP chainguide, Azonic stem, and Gazzoloddi so this is a real trip down memory lane! I think that frame is probably from right around 1997-98. The 1996 bikes had shorter upper links, with the shock mounting right in the middle of the link, so they only had around 6" of travel. The longer link didn't come out until a year or so later, to boost the travel to 8". Then they moved the rear end to a horst link pivot around 2000. There was also...

I plan to get it back in working order as best as I can. Thank you for the comments as well. Everything else is in pretty good working order. Suspension is plush, brakes are working fine, bearings in good shape, etc.

I have been fortunate not to have to open the rear mechs. It's definitely worth investigating because it will likely only be a leaky internal seal. When you see how much the sets sell for it may inspire you to open it up and fix it. You can pressure test the shifters and mech plus hoses in isolation of the regulator if you make an adapter to go from your bike pump to the 4mm OD pneumatic push fit connectors. Only use low psi and use a spray bottle of soapy water on potential leak areas. You will see bubbles...

I only plan to replace the tires and the saddle which is all messed up/bent. The derailleur is currently leaking / wont shift and I am not sure how to fix it. We rebuilt and cleaned the regulator. That seems to work ok now. Might look for a new set of airlines to put on the bike depending on the cost / if I can find them.

Cool that it hasn't been resto modded with modern parts. Smart idea to make a guard for the Airlines reservoir, they are thinner than a regular anti-perspirant can. I picked up 2 sets of Airlines years ago and i dread to think about trying to replace any broken parts. I was working on an adapter to run a different bottle, must get back on that.
