5/5/2026 2:24am I thought they were limiting 1 spotter per team already for this season. not only at track walk... Im lost.. I'm pro limiting the team resources in this case 1 authorized team member on track... it evens things..more fair.

4/26/2026 12:01am Judging by some comments here and certainly on the pink site, it seems there's a serious issue with average Joe MTBers being able to judge the gradient, difficulty and length of a track from watching GoPro footage. This Korean track looks like it's gonna be awkward, tech, blown out and quite steep + off camber. Probably not fun to ride, but it will make for a challenging race.

4/7/2026 9:00pm maybe this is more of a question for the suspension functionality thread... but the idea of drilling dimples in the fork stanchions is really odd to me. I would think that a radial brushed pattern in the fork stanchion would be the better solution. I've honestly always found it a bit odd that we rely on a highly polished/anodized fork stanchion (and damper shafts for that matter) instead of a micro finish of cross hatching and then finer polishing (sanding) to reach the appropriate surface finish so it carries oil. I always assumed that there was a vanity/aesthetic reason that...

luisgutrod Added a reply to Tire inserts - do you run them?
4/2/2026 1:48am I have used CC pro, trail and more recently vittoria airliner, which I think is a good compormise of protection and weight, as mentioned above.. but this is tire brand specific.. I have used previous and current version of Michelins DH22/DH34DH16 and for these I dont see you need any insert.. Contis, Schwalbe, Maxxis are a different story.

3/30/2026 7:01pm you can also look into some Schwalbe light ones.. if you dont want to go super light, nobby nics come in superground + soft rubber (orange), as well as speedgrip (blue).. even Tacky chans come in this Superground lighter construction... wicked will on the rear is also a very good trail tire

3/30/2026 6:07am may be.. but remember some juniors dominating and breaking through on their first junior year, dont carry over the streak/pace into their 2nd year junior.. as well into elites.. many examples.. but for sure will be exiting..

3/29/2026 8:18am yeah we all know its a mainstream product that may be 50% of the pros use..and all brands have lemons, eventually.. but come on.. the premium price tag should come with more certainty of reliability.. i stay away from fox.. still ahve old couple of 2018/2020 fox 36s that my still light kids can punish without issues..no more new fox...

3/16/2026 6:58pm I had a phone call with the CEO and there were no other options on the table than that to leave. Worst part was that then following that they folded the team but I guess if I had of kept racing they wouldn't have. Anyways I think it happens more often than you think I know personally of some other riders who went through the same thing unfortunately.

3/15/2026 3:53am In a scenario where 32" wheels turn out to be a clear competitive advantage for racing and become dominant in XCO, the UCI will have no choice but to ban them for race use, or relegate them to their own separate class. Smaller riders don't have access to the full range of advantages of the larger wheelsize and 32" wheels would therefore facilitate a disproportionate and unfair advantage for larger riders.
