luisgutrod Added a comment about feature Your FOX Podium Questions Answered - The Inside Line
6/30/2025 11:28pm I'm sure it s a fantastic fork, cause its very difficult to come up with an USD fork that was benchmarked to the stiffness we see in todays RSU 36/38 stanchion ones, and compromising on weight.. But to reply to Charlie's comment on " fox has way more engineering resources than intend or push", that might be true ($$$), but at some point this can be a misleading argument, how much money do you need to come up with a stiffer crown design or CSU interface.. The problem with FOX is they historically drop the ball in the execution...manufacturing becomes...

6/20/2025 1:42pm Bad news for Di2 curious 11-speed LinkGlide lovers like you. This is a clarification about 12-speed vs. 11-speed XTR rear derailleurs, added to the XTR article after we published it due to questions from readers about 11-speed Linkglide options and clarification at Big Blue. Basically, no you can't use a normal M9250 battery-operated Di2 derailleur on a LinkGlide setup, only the M9260 derailleur that hardwires into e-bikes: " The M9250 wireless derailleur is available for 12-speed Hyperglide+ drivetrains only, but can be used on normal bikes or e-bikes. However, there are 12 speed Hyperglide+ and Linkglide 11 speed options for...

6/19/2025 10:59pm thanks for this Jason.. so, if I understand correctly, with a linkglide setup ( 11sp XT derailleur/shifter, LG700 cassette), technically I could run xt di2 rear mech and shifter on my chain/cassette, right ? btw I have been running the same cassette since Aug-2023, just changed the chain..amazing durability for LG stuff

6/16/2025 2:54am No, we haven’t been measuring sag wrong. Any method of measuring sag that is repeatable is an acceptable way to measure sag. As it is something that must be tuned as opposed to setting to a specific percentage, being able to repeatably measure sag is the most important thing. You can do this seated and measuring at the shock just fine. If someone wants to measure it with a whole bunch of kit that’s fine, but telling everyone they are wrong and do it wrong is silly. It is definitely worth noting that on more progressive bikes you shouldn’t be...

6/16/2025 1:02am This is what I was going to put on his IG POST.. old school plot reading , like in my college days.. get your mm of shock strike and go to the leverage curve of the bike and voila you read your wheel travel.. i guess these days people are back to selling snake oil as the population gets dumber...

6/16/2025 12:59am Back at it again creating his own hype by saying "don't believe the hype" and saying that he's going to change the mtb world. Not quite.... Setting sag is not that deep, I've done this with measuring the shock sag and just looking up what sag that is at the axle using a linkage model on the computer (cost 0€).

6/14/2025 8:54am Related: 6-ish years ago me and 2 friends decided to ride 10,000 ft vert of tech trails at x27/Raging River. About 7k' in, climbing Return Policy for the second time, one of us is just shattered and has lots of derailleur noise. He routed the chain outside that little tab between the pulleys so it was grinding the. entire. time. He must have burned an extra million calories and had to bail. The other 2 of us made our goal, but the last 900' of vert was on gravel access road as we ran out of daylight.

6/14/2025 8:54am Infinite tweaking of limit screws and b-gap screws on derailleur with no success of getting it to shift well with no luck. Oh yeah, the frame bolt is loose. I've done this one enough that it's now one of the first things I check.

6/14/2025 7:58am I have definitely done this. Also came across a guy on trail whose chain was routed wrong through the pulleys. He said he wondered why his drivetrain sounded so much louder lol

6/1/2025 11:33pm on this " heard rider crashed, was concussed, told not to drop but still did" .. its a shame this (potential concussion) can be easily brushed off by some individuals these days... I can easily understand the huge amounts of pressure and lack of understanding of the actual consequences of this being a terrible combination.. ALL THE INDUSTRY NEEDS TO...
